Course Objective
Programming and scheduling is likely to be the first task that graduates will be required to perform for various employers in the construction and other industries. The purpose of this course is to provide the students with the
necessary skills to adequately schedule and control construction and business projects. Each student will generate bar charts; critical path networks; including early start, late start, early finish, late finish, durations, float, and identification of the critical activities that affect the timely completion of the project. The students will also
correlate manpower loading and costs to the schedule and learn how to control and accurately report progress of the project. The students will be introduced to advanced schedullng software tools used in the scheduling of construction projects and be required to schedule using computers, analyze data, and generate reports.
