1.) COMPANY PROFILE:

M/s. JINDAL group is well-known and well fame among pipe and steel industries.
It is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and manufacturing large diameter steel pipes
(L-SAW, H-SAW and Ductile Iron pipes) for transportation of water, Gas, water etc. It is India’s
4th largest industries house with an annual turn over of 12000 crores. They also have coating
plant with facility of inside and outside coating of pipes.
Our SAW PLANT has manufacturing range from 18” O.D. to 58” O.D (5mm to 54mm)
thickness and length from 6 to 12.7meters. Low carbon SAW welded. Annual production
capacity is approx. 250000 Metric Ton. The raw materials / coils and Plates used for these are
basically Mild Steel.
It is equipped with latest OFFLINE welding with PLC, and Laser tracking system. The job
consist inspection of Plate and Pipe Weld seam & helical Weld seam by Ultrasonic testing
making reports and its analysis with graphical data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

 Setting of calibration according to various types of procedures and specifications.

 Testing of Plate and Pipe weld seam by UT for interpretation of various types of defects.
  Working on various Automatic Ultrasonic testing systems like (RD TECH CANADA,
KRAUTKRAMER, GE Inspection Technology & EEC Mumbai and EEC-ESM3S,
EMS 88 ETC.)

 Working on various Manual Ultrasonic testing systems like (EEC Mumbai, Galileo&
Modosonic , monotonic Einstein- II )

 I have successfully performing the job with various specifications (ISO-3183, API -5L
43&42 EDI.etc.)

 Having a good experience working with THIRD PARTY (EIL, GLIS, SGS, VELOSI
Intertec, etc.)

 Visual Inspection of Pipe and Plate.

 Preparation of the calibration drawing on the basis of various standards.

 Preparation of testing reports and its analysis for review and improvement in the quality.

 Up keeping of all UT Instrument which are being used for inspection daily.

ADDITIONAL WORK:

 To assisted the HOD for the commissioning of new UT systems ( R.D TECH-
OLYMPUS, CANADA 24 CHANNLES for saw pipes scanning)

 Good knowledge of API5L and ISO specifications.

 Good knowledge of following Codes/ Spec./ Standards:-
