Knitted Measurements 36.5 (39, 41.5, 44) inches Materials Size 5 or 6 needles (check gauge!) Wolles Yarn Creations, single color cotton: 960 yards Can also use a fingering or sock yarn weight, wool or wool blend. Gauge 12 sts = 2 inches 16 rows = 2 inches Gauge is measured after blocking. Definitions: P = purl K = knit st = stitch RS = right side WS = wrong side K2tog = knit two together yo = yarn over ssk = slip one st, knit one, pass first st over k st Climbing Mountains Lace pattern 10 row pattern, multiple of 11 sts Row 1 (RS): p3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, p3 Row 2 and all even numbered rows: knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches Row 3: p2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, p2 Row 5: p1, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, ssk, p1 Row 7: k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k1, ssk, yo, k1, yo, ssk Row 9: p1, ssk, yo, k2-tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, yo, k2tog, p1

Back Cast on 79 (90, 101, 112) sts. K 1, p 1 across first row Second row (RS) begin pattern. Begin and end each row with 1 K (RS) or P (WS) Continue in pattern until piece measures 23 (23.5, 24, 24.5) inches or desired length. K across next row. Bind off all sts. Front Work same as back Sleeves Cast on 46 (46, 50, 57) sts. K 1, p 1 across first row Begin pattern All sizesexcept 50 st sizewill begin with K1 at beginning and end of each RS row (P1 each side on WS rows) until increases. Sleeve Shaping Increase between 1st and 2nd st on increase rows. Incorporate lace pattern on increase sts after 5 increases. For the 50-stitch size, Inc 1 st on each side every 6th (6th, 6th, row 15x (76, 76, 80, 87 sts) Continue in pattern until piece measures 16 (16, 16.5, 17) inches or desired length (three-quarters length) K across next row. Bind off all sts. Finishing Block pieces and sew together. Leave open center 12 inches for neck. Sew sleeves to sides, then seam sides. Weave in ends. PATTERN NOTES: Take time to knit a swatch of at least 20 stitches by 20 rows. Block it properly and then measure. This will ensure that your sweater will fit. The sweater looks best if you end after completing the 10-row pattern.
