1. How do we communicate beyond the classroom?

Add as friend the Facebook (FB) account stated above since any class-related concern shall be communicated therein. If your FB username is not your actual name, message Anfc Classes stating your full name and class schedule in order for your friend request to be granted. Friend requests shall only be entertained until the premidterm week. Those without FB can either sign up or choose as academic partner somebody who is connected to the class FB group for updates. Any issue affecting the academic partnership such as freeriding must be communicated via private FB message immediately. Failure to do so shall not disturb the presumption that the partnership is working as intended i.e. as a mechanism to facilitate learning. FB posts shall be sufficient notice to the class. Check for posts at least twice a week including weekends. The Anfc Classes FB account is solely class-intended. Hence, any message sent to the personal FB account shall be ignored. Also, expect to be unfriended in the next semester/summer unless you are in IRFS. Text messaging shall be for very urgent messages only and shall be relayed via duly chosen class representatives. Hence, do not expect ANFC to reply to SMS/text messages as a rule.

4. What are the critical points regarding attendance?

You get one (1) point per hour attended. Absences must not exceed 20% of semestral contact hours or approximately:
Absences allowed 7 10 5 No. of hours 1 1 3 You must present your Re-admission Slip (RAS) after your first 5 absences and each absence thereafter first 7 absences and each absence thereafter first 3 absences and each absence thereafter

Note: Get your RAS from your college/department. If the dean/chairman is not around, prepare a note to be signed by authorized personnel attesting your prior attempt to secure RAS subject to immediate subsequent submission of your RAS or else, you will still be deemed absent despite attendance in class. Documented valid absences may be granted consideration. Absences are presumed upon:
a. Failure to present RAS after the first set of absences and after; or b. Arrival in class after partial or class attendance is checked; or c. Three (3) instances of duly-noted tardiness/lateness. Sample (in sticky note) To adjust a record of absence to late,

2. How do you identify submitted matter in class?

Unless otherwise instructed, write the following on the top line of any submitted output/document/paper:

you must prepare, sign and submit in class immediately without demand a Late Slip. Failure to do so properly will not modify the record of absence.

5. What are the other important policies to consider?

a. Desired change of schedule must be done officially via ISMIS. b. Failure/refusal to follow instructions and/or academic standards (e.g. anti-cheating/plagiarism, spelling, grammar) shall be dealt with accordingly. c. During class, switch off or on silent mode your electronic gadgets. A warning will be given for the first violation and confiscation upon subsequent violation(s). d. Any requirement that cannot be submitted on time must still be submitted immediately with a written justification for missing the deadline and for the length of time taken after the deadline to so submit. ANFC shall decide whether or not to grant consideration. e. With sufficient time, final grades may be released during the final exam week to students who are cleared to take the final exam and present the faculty evaluation completion slip. Those unable to do so will have to await official posting at ISMIS. f. Disposal of class-related papers: 1st semester classes after 2nd sem midterm exam week 2nd semester classes after midsummer exam week Graduating students day after graduation g. Print this document in short-size bond paper and accomplish, detach and be ready to submit the slip below upon demand.

Unless otherwise instructed, soft copy submissions must be privately messaged in FB without spaces in the filename, to wit:

Note: Failure to follow the identification (ID) format will mean nonacceptance of the submitted work. Also, piecemeal submission of outputs is not allowed. Retrieval is not allowed after submission.

3. How will you be graded?

Unless an adjustment is announced, your final grade comprises
40% Midterm Grade 60% Tentative Final Grade

10% midterm attendance 40% quizzes/projects 50% midterm exam

10% post-midterm attendance 30% quizzes/projects 30% academic paper 30% final exam

There shall be no special exam for failure to take a quiz. You are primarily responsible for your studies. Be in charge of your studies because your deficit in academic performance will be reflected on record. Any belated attempt to beg for last-minute favors by you (or worse your parent/relative) will earn you greater disfavor.
