    Application ARRIS Spectrum Analyzer (ASA) on your Personal Computer (PC) is an extremely useful tool for diagnosing plant and cable modem issues on the fly. It can be used with either the Cadant C3 CMTS or C4 CMTS with DOCSIS 2.0 specifications. ASA runs on a laptop or desktop computer for saving time and expense during remote diagnosis of field issues via Telnet, instead of truck rolls. Upstream Spectrum Analysis Utilizes Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) data from the digital burst receiver. Spectrum profiles and power amplitude traces (dBmV vs. frequency) are generated from the FFT data payloads with the following options: Entire upstream channel or bursts from a single cable modem Real time and historical Peak hold Band power measurement Save to file Channel Editor Modify the following upstream channel parameters: Channel width Center frequency Slot size Channel type (TDMA, ATDMA or SCDMA) Ranging and transmission backoff Logical channels (add, delete or edit) Modulation Profile Wizard Apply default modulation profiles or create custom modulation profiles by specifying parameters such as: Modulation (QPSK, 16QAM, etc.) FEC T and K bytes Maximum burst size Preamble length Modem Statistics Browser Flap list for entire CMTS, each upstream channel, and individual cable modems Cable modem summary status: Number registered Percent online Upstream SNR Percent of channel capacity utilized Busiest users Modem Browser Find and ping a cable modem Browse individual cable modems to retrieve the following: Model and firmware load Uptime Transmit and receive power Downstream SNR Reset count, lost synchs Modulation type, registration mode

    Diagnose plant and cable modem issues Remote troubleshooting to reduce truck rolls Runs on a laptop or PC ASA Operates with:

    ARRIS Cadant C3 CMTS

    ARRIS Cadant C4 CMTS
