SEN student/s Sowda Nur Check she understands why the task has been set, encourage her when creating her game/types of mission ask her what her favourite game/superhero/cartoon is if she is struggling she can make a game based around this Ruma Begum Go through her game structure and mission list point out any spelling mistakes, ask her to correct them/assist her Tufael Ahmed Sit him towards the front of the class and ensure he is wearing glasses show him a lot of praise when he completes work Ask him at least 1 question per lesson when talking/asking the other students questions Assist him in the creation of his game structure Mission list may need to be completed for homework if game structure takes to long Susan Nicholson - ask her to repeat instructions once the class has started on a task break down the activity into smaller steps and monitor her progress when

she finishes 2 steps on game structure, check her work and then make sure she understands how to complete the next 2 steps Harry Knox use a very calm voice when addressing behaviour problems ensure he understands the task sit him in between 2 girls - Maintain a very positive relationship with him (sit him towards the front of the class) Get him to complete 1 part of each task at a time then set him a new task/goal NC Level(s) targeting (inc. Video whilst students are walking into classroom, this video will be played on the whiteboard students will be able to see an example of how a helicopter scene can be created in mission maker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkpUGEhBT5 k Starter Total recall students will be split up into 4 groups Use a,b,c,d to separate them. Students will be shown different super heros they will be told they need to memorise the image and remember how many characters they are, the colours they are wearing, how many male/female characters they need to recall this information in their groups.each group that knows the answer needs to all raise their hands and shout their group name The aim of the starter is to be able to look at something and memorise it as they will be following tutorials in the lesson, its important they can recall what they have seen and implement it in their own games. Groups to decide their team names animal of their choice 100 points per answer!!! 15 minutes Homework Review Students to take out their homework, people who havent done it to stand up. (Students who have not finished need to finish it before they start the tutorials) Check everyone has 10 mission for their

character 3 students to present their homework at the front of the class students will explain the type of game that they are creating and the mission list their characters will complete in the game 10 minutes Introduction to tutorials Students will be shown where these tutorials can be located then.with the class, tutorial one will be followed together. Students to open mission and follow the tutorials step by step, they can first watch the video once to understand the tutorial, then follow it step by step copying what has been shown in the tutorial for their game in Mission Maker. During the above activity students will be monitored throughout the lesson and assisted where necessary students can help their peers if they get stuck Shouldnt be to much chatter within the class as all students should be following tutorials

Character creation students will be introduced to a website where they are able to create 3D characters Website is saved as a shortcut in pupil shared under Mr Parker Students can browse through ready made characters and also how they can make their own characters Example of characters available to be shown on the whiteboard Students who finish their tutorials and are working ahead will have the choice of creating their own character next lesson using this software following step by step instructions or

will be able to follow instructions of how to create 3D characters in photoshop. Optional Students can create 3D character on website in their own time

Plenary & Reflection 10 minutes

Peer reviews Students to be given a partner (the person next to them) each student will describe what their game is about and 2 things their character has to do I.E my partners game is about a father who has to rescue his daughter, on the way he has to collect a key to open a door and then collect some water to take to his daughter Use the random name generator, a students will be selected and will have to stand up and explain what their partners game is about/then their partner will have to stand up and do the same
