Wiphan employs Christians called to minister to the spiritual needs of widows and orphans through discipleship and bible
study. Orphans are educated in Wiphan schools or are sponsored to attend government schools. Their basic needs are met
in a safe school environment, with nurturing teachers, medical care and a daily school lunch. Older orphans (18 years +)
and widows have the opportunity to be trained in Sewing, Computer Keyboarding, Hospitality or Jewelry Crafting. Through
education, skills training, the Gospel and discipleship the cycle of spiritual and physical poverty is broken.

Wiphan is at an exciting point in ministry! Our administration team is
growing with skilled and energetic staff who have expansive plans to
impact widows and orphans for Christ. With the addition of an English
literacy teacher and the implementation of a new phonics curriculum,
Zambia hopes to see improvements in English literacy across the primary
and skills training classes. Both Kenya and Zambia have hired dynamic
leaders to facilitate communication and accountability with students who
are sponsored to attend government schools. Medical care is developing
with dental clinics, hygiene training and increased involvement from
community clinic partnerships. Zambia’s Lifespring Lodge coordinator is
developing a GAP year program, working with colleges to provide
opportunities for service and internships. As Wiphan’s reputation grows,
we are seeing interest from ministries inside and outside of Kenya and
Zambia who want to become part of Wiphan Africa. It is by God’s grace
and the involvement of our supporters that lives are being changed in
Africa. We would love for you to be part of what God is doing! Let’s talk.
