Why I started this project? After playing the Triton for quite awhile, I began asking, "Are there more sounds for it?" The expansion boards seemed a bit pricey, so I asked my music dealer if there were sounds available on floppies by third-party developers. His response was, "We don't carry any." Well, he lost a sale. I searched the Internet and found a few web sites selling various soundsets; one site in particular was offering a "buy one/get one free" deal. I ordered two sets. But, when I downloaded the sounds and loaded them into the Triton, I wasn't impressed. And this particular sound developer had been recommended by KORG. Hmmm... Shortly after this experience, I discovered the Irishacts web site and found a treasure of FREE sounds to download. What a surprise! Most of the sounds were better than the ones I had purchased...and there were LOTS of them too. After downloading and using many of the sounds, I decided to create a set of my own for the Triton. This contribution is my way of saying "thank you" to all the programmers who have shared their efforts with me and others at Irishacts. Enigma: Part 1 is a unique compilation of programs I created from scratch, plus modifications of various factory presets and downloaded pcgs. But...none are from the disappointing soundsets I purchased online.
