Extra Help
• If you feel you are struggling in the class or just want some extra help, I will be
available after school. Please make arrangements with me prior to that day to
avoid conflicts with scheduling.

Absences & Make-up Work:

• We will follow the policies in the student handbook for absent work. I will accept
unexcused late work for one day after it is due for ½ credit.
• Make-up exams for excused absences can be done before of after school.

Classroom Rules & Expectations:

• Respect!!! We will all show respect to everyone in the classroom. This includes
not talking when others are talking, raising your hand, etc.
• No gum. It will be hard enough learning to speak a new language without having
gum in your mouth.
• All other school rules will be followed in our classroom.
o (No food, cell phones, etc.)
• Hall Passes. You will be given four hall passes per semester to use the restroom,
go to your locker, etc- use them wisely! If you have any unused passes at the end
of the semester, you may redeem them for 2 pts. extra credit each to go towards
your participation grade.

What parents can do to help:

• Feel free to contact me at anytime by email or by calling the school during the
school day.
• Quiz your students! Even if you may not speak Spanish, you can still help. Give
your student the word in English and have your student say the Spanish
equivalent aloud.
• Participate in student-led conferences in October and March.
