Bill Kristol said There will undoubtedly be other candidates for the GOP Nomination in this strongly Republican District, and some of them will surely be well qualified. But I feel confident in saying now that none is likely to be able to contribute more to the conservative future as a member of Congress than Quin Hillyer. A Gulf Coast native, Quin is a nationally recognized, conservative, "investigative columnist" who has won major journalism awards at the local, state, regional and national levels, and has broken numerous stories crucial to the conservative cause. His work specifically has been denounced on the floor of the U.S. Senate by Ted Kennedy, and praised on the air numerous times by Rush Limbaugh and other national conservative radio hosts. A 34-year veteran of the national conservative movement, Quin is a former Reagan political appointee to the Veterans Administration, and a former House leadership aide during the years Republicans took a House majority for the first time in 40 years and laid the groundwork for the first balanced budget in more than three decades. He has particularly been a leader in the fights for conservative judges and in efforts to expose the corruption of the Obama-Holder Justice Department. Quin also has a long history of volunteer leadership in church- based, educational, civic, and political endeavors. He and his wife Tresy live in Mobile, with family roots four generations deep.
