JAYDEE BIXBY WORK IN PROGRESS

Now five years beyond his Runner-Up win on Canadian Idol, country singer Jaydee Bixby not only exploited that mainstream audience but has built his own fan base through proven album releases, immense tour schedules, and excessive commitment to his craft. His debut album, Cowboys and Cadillacs, was released in July 2008. That year his first single, Old-Fashioned Girl, went to #10 media base at country radio and #9 at CMT. This was followed with three more singles and a Christmas hit written by noted writers Ralph Murphy and Paul Brady. This first CD shipped 30,000 units and scanned 24,000 units. Jaydee has toured across Canada several times, showcasing, headlining, festival slots, and opening for high-profile artists such as Montgomery Gentry, Kenny Chesney, Carly Rae Jepson and Taylor Swift. On January 26, 2010, he released the first single to radio, an inspired new version of Tom Cochranes Boy Inside The Man from his sophomore CD Easy to Love, which was released in May 2010. He toured over 70 shows throughout 2010 and over 100 shows in 2011. He also did a packed cross-country press tour where he visited radio stations in every major market across the country. Now at the age of 22, Jaydees musical abilities have flourished and he has embarked upon a new mature and refined musical style. With reflection on the past five years of his career, Jaydees focus, commitment, and passion is clearly e vident in his songwriting on his new album, Work In Progress.
