How many trees do you think that we can save with a ton of recycled paper? Answer: 17 trees. Do you know the name of the first paper that was used by the Egyptians? Answer: The papyrus. But it is the Chinese who invented the regular recycled paper that we use now. The reason why I wanted to make recycled paper for my science project was that the fabrication of this product always fascinated me. What I find particularly interesting in this product is that there are several ways to make it and this product doesnt pollute as much as normal paper.

So, I chose the recycled paper for my science project and I was asking myself how we make paper. Then I heard that paper was made out of wood and I asked myself if there would be a transformation from tree to paper. I did research and I figured out that the wood was transformed into a paste then to paper. I researched about recycled paper and that is how I did my science project.

WHY DO WE RECYCLE PAPER?

Sometimes we dont think of the utility of recycling but it is something that we have to add to our TO-DO list. Recycling a ton of paper contributes to protect approximately 18 trees and reduces the pollution of air (75 %) and some water (35 %).The paper that is collected must be appropriate(clean). Coating them with wax, plastic films, glues, and other residues can protect the paper during the recycling process.

WHO RECYCLES PAPER?

Now, we are going to speak to you about a poll that concerns what groups of people recycle the most paper in one year. Between companies, schools or population. Some of companies use cardboard boxes recycled as

packaging to make recycled paper. But for schools we retained that some schools show kids that it is important to recycle paper. Finally for the population it is because one of the biggest companies that makes paper uses approximately three quarter recycled paper, which is then sold to the population.

EXPERIMENT
Experiment 1: Sawdust and warm water. We had no result. Then, the sheet remained powder. Experiment 2: Newspaper paper and warm water. Here is our result: Experiment 3: Newspaper, sawdust and warm water. The result is very interesting, it holds well and the sawdust gives it a nice beige color.

CONCLUSION
So, we can conclude that it is relatively easy to make recycled paper and decorate it like we want. You can consult my recipes that give you different types of paper to decorate It is very important to use recycled paper because it protects trees because as you now know paper is made from trees. It is also important to use recycled paper because otherwise we are destroying our forests.
