The CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

Scripture:” Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living
sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship.” (Romans 12:1)

Weekly Theme: “The Service of Church Coworkers”

1. Thank God for the leadership of our pastors and directors; Pray to God that they have more
heavenly wisdom to lead the church.
2. Pray that God equips us to carry out His work at our best effort, to build up His churches, to
unify in His Word, and to know His Son so that we can grow up to be like our Lord.
3. Pray that our church pastors, elders, and coworkers are all connected to our Lord Christ, and
have an attitude of working together in harmony according to the part of the church body
each member belongs to so that we can help and edify one another with love.
4. Pray God to bless our services in different ministries of the church on the basis of the fear
and love of God; Pray that we draw closer to God to renew our faith day by day.
5. Pray God to inspire more faithful, humble, and spirit-filled brothers and sisters to serve Him
in His Kingdom.
6. Pray for the mission organizations (Gospel Operation Int’l for Chinese Christian, Taiwan
Operation Dawn, Far East Bible Training); missionaries (Keli’i & Patty Akina, Scarlet Hwuang),
and seminary student (Becky Pigott - Columbia International U.); Also pray for the peace
and safety of those brothers and sisters who are on oversea short-term mission.

--- English Ministry:

1. Pray for preparations for short-term missions this summer.
2. Pray for the promotion and preparation for Memorial Day Weekend Retreat.
---Youth Ministry:
1. Motive. Pray that people would come with a desire to know God and be known by Him, and no
other reason.
2. Understanding. Pray that people would understand that relationship with God comes by His grace
alone, not by any good works (including baptism). Pray that they would really recognize their
sinfulness and uselessness without God, and embrace the love of a Savior who would love and
embrace them anyway...
3. Baptized Youth. Please pray for those who were baptized recently. Please pray for their relationship
w/ God and that they would be “men and women who are not worthy of this world” (Hebrews 11﹕
38). Ian Oo, Michelle Lee, Arnold Cheng, Anthony Sun, Julia Hong, Jonathan Chang, Mike Kam,
Jessie Wang, Sophie Wang, Jerry Li, Hilary S (college).
4. Spring Outreach. Praise God for the 85 who turned out for last Friday's Spring Outreach. Praise
God for the 8 newcomers who came to enjoy the food, games, and message. Please pray for the
seeds planted would find root. Please continue to pray for our youth to live out their faith by being a
light in this world rather than conforming to it.
--- Children Ministry:
1. Pray for Spring quarter's Sunday school teachers and helpers.
2. Pray for children’s ministry council.
