ACADEMIC PROJECTS: S.No Title and Description CFD Project: Solving Transient Free Convection 1. This project tells us basics behind free convection problem. A MATLAB simulation needs to be done to give air velocity and temperature at different points on plate at different instances of time. 2. CFD Project : Solving Backward Step Flow Problem: This Project is aimed at understanding basics of solution procedure of N-S equation, and identifying physical and non physical vortices through a MATLAB simulation and also verified by ANSYS 3. FEM Project:Comparative study between FEM, FVM, FDM methods of numerical analysis: In this project a matlab interface needs to be developed for transient heat conduction analysis of 2D plate based on implicit scheme of discretization 4. FEM Project : Comparative study between 2D pin Fin and 1D pin Fin having non uniform area used in Electronic Packaging: In this project FEM based analysis needs to be done on pin fin and compare result obtained by it with ANSYS solution and analytical solution. 5. Advanced Manufacturing Project: Analysis of plastic weld In this project first two plastic parts needs to be fabricated using RP machine then they need to be weld using some plastic welding method then a specimen needs to be cut from welded part using Laser Cutting machine and afterward we need to test that specimen for mechanical and material properties. 6. Optimization Project:Optimization of crank angle for minimizing exciting forces and moments: In this project numerical model of optimization needs to be developed then optimize using Steepest descent ,Golden search and Newton Raphson algorithms 7. Design and Fabrication Project: Design of Snake Repellant cum Venom Suction Device It aims at developing design and physical prototype of a device which can help in repelling snakes and cure bitten people by suction of venom. It involves preparing design specifications, product and functional decomposition, concept generation, preparing CAD model of the final concept and prescribing the most optimized manufacturing procedures for the model and finally fabrication of physical prototype of the same using different machine tools
