John 3:16-18 Jesus says,

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

John 3:36

John the Baptist said, Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, he who believes has eternal life.

John 6:47

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to Martha the sister of Lazarus.

BELIEF/ FAITH / TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST 1) Intellectual Belief or Faith

-Know there is a God -Know Jesus is God -Know Jesus died on the cross -Know Jesus can save people
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder.

2) Temporal Belief or Faith Trusting God to help you in this life

-Pray for safe travel -Pray for health -Pray for guidance -Pray for blessings
It is a good thing to trust God to help you in this life. Many do that. But it is another thing to believe Jesus will help you after this life. The faith of many is limited to things of this life.

3) Belief that Will Save You Saving Faith

When a person transfers their trust for their eternal salvation, from trusting in themselves, to trusting that Jesus will save them.
(Compare their answers to the two questions) Jesus will save you when you___________ you are a sinner and cannot save yourself, repent and____________ to stop trusting in yourself, and decide to trust in Jesus to save you. This will begin when you____________ Jesus to be your Savior, and must continue as you daily trust Jesus to save you. To say that you have faith in Jesus means you must believe, and not doubt, that Jesus________ save you (because that is what Jesus has promised).
