Welcome to Our First Ofcial Newsletter!

Dear Friends & Family; It has only been a month since we completed our two week candidacy class in Guelph with Mission Aviation Fellowship, but it has been a very busy and exciting time for the both of us. What we will be doing It is amazing for us to think that in as little as a year from now we will be living in Africa. As a pilot, Joel will have the opportunity to y doctors, bible translators, medical teams, pastors and evangelists (to name a few) to some of the most remote places in the world. During these trips, Joel will have the opportunity to talk with locals and many others; not only sharing Gods love but demonstrating it by investing his time and serving the community. There are countless ministries and organizations around the world that rely on MAF to accomplish their vision.

Joel wont be having all the fun though! While Joel is away ying, Hayley will have the opportunity to join a current ministry that is working on the ground where we are staying. There are many great needs in Africa, especially for the orphans that have been left behind due to war, disease, and numerous other tragedies that have aficted the people of Africa. Hayleys heart is to be able to serve in an orphanage and work with children. She has a passion to get involved in the local community and to serve others with all her heart. Right now we are currently in the support raising stage of our ministry which means that we have been working hard gathering contacts (just like yourselves) to help us build a ministry support team. It has been an exciting process so far; especially as this is the rst time we have ever really worked together! It has been quite the learning experience in itself !

What used to take a missionary 24 hours to travel by foot, can now be accomplished in 20 minutes by an MAF airplane!!

Our rst speaking engagement!!

March 10th, 2013 Thank you so much to Pastor Steve West and the people at Crestwicke Bap;st Church of Guelph for your hospitality. Also thank you to Murray and Phyllis MoB for arranging the opportunity! We are hoping that this is the rst of many speaking engagements .If you'd like to hear about MAF and our ministry with them, please contact us. We'd love to come and share

During our orientation period, we stayed at the Guelph Bible Conference Centre where the information we received from our instructors was priceless. We are also so thankful for the amazing staff members at Mission Aviation Fellowship who have been wonderful answering any question we have had along the way. We were also encouraged to become more up-to-date with social media so the two of us have been working hard tweeting and twitting and blogging all over the place! We have included our Blog address at the top of our newsletter for those of you who are interested in following us more closely! We are very passionate about our new ministry with MAF. The more we read about the different organizations that they partner with and how they are helping around the world, we grow increasingly excited about this new direction that God has us headed in. By being a part of MAF, its not just one organization you are a part of, but the 1,500

other organizations that MAF helps support as well. It is unbelievable to see thousands of different lives that have been saved by last minute medical treatment or the doctors and nurses who have been own into some of the most remote places in the world. We began to realize that it is much more than just an aviation ministry, it is a ministry that helps support and fulll the vision of so many others; MAF truly is bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth! We are both so excited for what lies ahead and we want to thank you for becoming a part of our ministry with MAF. We look forward to the opportunity where we can get together with you individually and we have put our contact information at the top of the rst page and we look forward to hearing from you!

God has prepared us for this ministry with MAF but it would not be possible without partners coming alongside us both in prayer and financial support.
