ONE MORE YEAR!

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

ANOTHER YEAR BY GODS GRACE

Through Gods grace Jordan was able to finish another semester in seminary and now has only one more year remaining until he receives his Masters in Divinity. It was a tough semester, maybe the toughest yet, with the most units Jordans taken so far in seminary, on top of full-time work, preparing a weekly sermon for North Valley Bible Study, and being a fulltime dad and husband. What a blessing it has been. God is so faithful to grow and teach us as He sees best. We are so thankful for this time, but also excited to be thinking and praying more and more about serving the Lord together in Italy.

AN UNEXPECTED BLESSING
One unexpected blessing was a last minute trip to Italy mid-semester to visit Jordans grandparents in Rome. They have been missionaries in Rome for over 60 years now, and Jordans grandma was diagnosed with Leukemia and was given a few months to live. Through generous donors, Jordan was able to spend a week in Italy! It was not only a great opportunity to see the country he is preparing to go to, but also there were many evangelism opportunities whether on the plane, the subway or on the streets. The highlight of the trip was a gathering of more than 15 Standridges where the family spent the day, singing, praying and sharing from the Word of God, all praising the Lord for Nonnas life, which is not over yet! What an incredible gift from God she is to those who know her. She has run her race with endurance with her eyes fixed on Jesus, and will soon see Him face to face! She wants to use every moment she has left to serve Him, and so she has been working tirelessly on her writing projects (and recently completed her book about the joy of serving the Lord). How amazing and encouraging it is to see Gods work in and through her.
