BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS Any announcements for the August 3rd and August 10th Sabbath Bulletins must be received in the office by July 24th at 3pm. If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 517.321.1963. Thanks! Prayer requests for Prayer Warriors: Call Jean Engel at 517-3211172 or Nola Collins at 517-669-5173. You may also email Jean at lengel381@gmail.com or Nola at gturtelle1@yahoo.com. SHOULD YOU HELP THE HOMELESS by serving meals or helping to recruit volunteers? Our local Church Community Impact Volunteers serve meals at two Lansing homeless shelters. Volunteers spend about 2 hours dishing up food and distributing inspirational literature to encourage and support those who suffer from hunger and disappointment. Children at least 12 years old can serve when accompanied by a parent. Arrangements are made in advance & volunteers carpool from church. The next service dates are Saturday, July 27, in the evening & Sunday, July 28, in the morning. See the sign up sheet posted on the bulletin board near the restrooms. Note: First time volunteers need to know more about volunteering at our service sites. Please call Linda Cabose (517) 3212019 or Vicky McKenzie (517) 331-3952 for information that will make volunteering a great experience. REQUESTING HEALTH AND HEALING: Don Rebedew What I like about GLAS - I like GLAS because the teachers are nice and I get a lot of help from them when I need it and I make lifelong friends. ~ Matt Rigg, Grade 9 These schools were intended to serve as a barrier against the widespreading corruption, to provide for the mental and spiritual welfare of the youth, and to promote the prosperity of the nation by furnishing it with men qualified to act in the fear of God as leaders and counselors. ~ Education p. 46 Everyone Bring One Please remember this program. Everyone bring one food item each Sabbath for the Community Service Center and Greater Lansing Food Bank. Thank you your continued support is appreciated.

THE LANSING LIGHTNING BUGS club will be starting up again for the year! Our Adventurer club is for parents and children ages 4 through 4th grade. Come join us this year for songs, crafts, games, activities and learning about the bible. We will be meeting on various Sabbath afternoons and Sunday mornings throughout the year. For more information and for registration, attend our parent meeting on August 24th at 2:00 following a potluck in the fellowship hall. If you have questions, you may contact Amy Tripp at 925-8786. THE LANSING ADVENTURER CLUB is looking for quart size canning jars to help us with our "Gifts of Love in a Jar" fundraiser coming up in November. We are accepting both used and new jars. If you have jars to donate, please contact Amy Tripp at 925-8786. Thank you so much for your help and support! WOMEN'S MINISTRIES would like to invite the women to an evening of socializing and crafting. Bring your favorite pastime to work on while sipping tea and chatting with old and new friends. The event will take place at the Robinson household, 4209 Appletree Lane, Lansing, 48917, on July 29th @7pm. If you have any questions call Nancy Hansen, 269-876-7218. The annual Michigan Health Professionals Retreat will be held September 13-15, 2013 at Camp Au Sable. We are pleased to announce our guest speakers this year will be Drs. Brian & Lyndi Schwartz from Kettering Medical Center in Ohio, where they practice cardiology and internal medicine. Register early! We hope you will join us for a refreshing weekend retreat of spiritual inspiration, relaxation, recreation, family, friends and fun. All Health Professionals invited.
