• Night manager for dog daycare facility handling anywhere from 70-90 clients a day. Responsibilities
include billing, filing, customer service and maintenance.

Jackson Citizen Patriot January 2008 – July 2008

• Part-time sports writer who answered phones taking scores from area high school and college coaches
and writing roundups. Beat reporter for girls soccer and competitive cheerleading. Covered boys and
girls basketball when needed.

Kalamazoo Gazette August 2007 – January 2008

• Sports writer intern who covered mostly high school sports including some Western Michigan University,
Kalamazoo College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College sports.
• Wrote about football, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys cross country, girls and boys swimming,
wrestling, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, tennis and golf.

• Staff and senior reporter for the CM Life sports section and the beat writer for cross country, women’s
