The Major Incident Response Service (MIRS) is a specialised QBE product designed to minimise the impact of a major incident through an early coordinated response providing proactive and appropriate services to policyholders and affected parties.
The service involves early pre-claim management of a major incident to mitigate circumstances and contain claims costs both in the UK and Ireland. The service aims to provide comprehensive support including practical, medical and financial assistance to those involved in any major incident (involving serious injury to multiple people). On notification of an incident, a highly skilled team will be deployed to work with the emergency services at the scene of an accident, where possible, and also in the following days and weeks.
This seamless service has proven its value in many major incidents, notably in our Motor business.
