Dear Students

We are happy to announce that RIMS International School is going to hold elections/selections for the Student Council on 6th August13. This is to help inculcate the qualities of leadership and team-work in our students as well as develop healthy competition and team spirit. It provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents and interests while continuing to develop new skills. Students are requested to fill the Nomination slip given below with the details of their skills and achievements and submit it to their Class Teachers by 23rd July 2013. Students can apply for the following Positions:1) Sports Captain (Grade X / AS) 2) Cultural Captain (Grade X / AS) 3) House Captain (Grade X / AS) 4) Vice House Captain (Grade VIII / IX) 5) Junior Captain (Grade IV / V) 6) Class Representatives (Grade I to AS)

Members of the Student Council will be selected on the following Parameters: Questionnaire Field Canvassing (charts, slogans, badges, flags, videos, symbols etc) Speeches Parent-Candidate Interaction with the Student Council Committee Votes.

The CRs will be selected on the following Parameters:-

Speeches Charts Votes.

Dates to Remember
1] 23rdJuly (Tuesday) Last date for submission of Nomination forms. 2] 25thJuly (Thursday) - Announcement of Selected Candidates.

House In charges will select candidates on their Academic achievements, Co-curricular Participation, Good Conduct, Work Habits and Values.
3] 26thJuly (Friday) Questionnaire. 4] 26th July- 1st Aug Field Canvassing for all Posts. (Charts to be submitted to Sports In-charge Ms Ratna) 5] 1stAug (Thursday) Speeches. All students contesting for elections will be required to prepare Speeches to encourage and motivate other students to vote for them .The speeches should be of 2-3 minutes duration.

6] 2ndAug (Friday) CRs Speeches and Display of Charts in their classrooms. 7] 3rdAug (Saturday) Parent-Candidate Interaction with the Student Council Committee. Parent and Candidate have to be present for an interview in school. Exact time will be intimated later. 8] 6thAug (Tuesday) Elections. 9] 8thAug (Thursday) Declarations of the Results A workshop on Leadership skills will be conducted for all successful students. 8] 15thAug (Thursday) Investiture Ceremony.
