PUPILLAGE Filing of Petition to Commence Pupilage Documents to Have: Borang 1 & 2 where to get? Should have a few in firm OR rather can download or can purchase from Bar Council (RM5) Prepare these documents: 1. Copy of Birth Cert 2. Copy of IC 3. Copy of Masters Profile (get from Bar Council Website print screen) 4. Copy of Release Letter from University OR LLB/Bar/CLP Certificate

Instructions:

Get the documents to be certified by an Advocate and Solicitor who isnt your master. (to be certified as true copies) Reminder: put the address of your residence, not your hometown. (unless that is where you reside) Fill in both forms in Capital Letters, clearly and legibly. (Blue or Black Ink only) Prepare one (1) set. Also, get the Commissioner of Oaths to affirm the Affidavit. Cost: RM4. Go up to second floor of the KL High Court (to Rayuan dan Kuasa-kuasa Khas RKK Division). Show the person at the counter your paper, once approved; a green slip will be given. It says Kebenaran untuk Scan

Go down to the First Floor, to the filing counters. There you will be given a slip for you to pay RM50. A calling number will also be assigned to you. KEEP THE NUMBER**. Go to the Payment Place, press no. 1 for the computer to generate a calling number; wait for your number (this number is different from the one above**) to be called and make payment. Go back to the filing place, and wait for your number to be called to counter 22. After the documents are processed, go to counter 17 where an invoice for RM98 will be issued. Go back to the Payment Place and this time press no. 2 for the computer to generate a calling number; wait for your number to be called and make payment. Return to the filing place, this time to counter 18 where a duplicate of the invoice is given to you. Return to RKK counter to wait for instructions. You will be asked to fill in your petition number. Go to the basement bookshop and get the lady to photocopy of the forms : 1. 4 sets of Borang 1 and Borang 2 2. 32 sets of Borang 2 (the notice of petition) *Dont worry, the lady usually knows what to do.

GO back up to RKK counter and give them the 32 copies. SERVE one (1) set each to The Bar Council, the state bar and AGs Chambers as soon as possible.

Fill in Borang 3, 4 and 5. Dont be careless! Affirm Borang 4 and 5 (Borang 4 is actually your masters affidavit this means that he should be present during the signing of the Affidavit unless of course the Comm. Of Oaths isnt too rigid, then he can
