The Fund for Theological Education JOB POSTING

Position Purpose: The Director of Strategic Partnerships builds relationships and provides support to leaders of congregations and church-related organizations across the country who are working to develop future leaders for the church and academy. The position requires a high level of decision-making and strategic thinking with a collaborative team as well as an ability to work independently to implement specific grant activities in order to achieve the organizations mission and strategic goals. This position oversees two FTE staff members and a team of FTE consultants that work in tandem to build a regional and national network of partners. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the President, the Director of Strategic Partnerships will work closely with other program staff to: 1. Build relationships with diverse partner organizations and FTE Alumni who work primarily with collegeage students and young adults in congregations, college and seminary to participate in FTEs programs focused on developing future church leaders. Develop and manage programs, resources and opportunities that connect and mobilize strategic partners to identify and accompany young adults in their exploration of vocation and Christian ministry. Manage a program administrator, relationship manager and small team of external consultants. Oversee the collection and updating of strategic partners pertinent information. Contribute to FTEs thought leadership by writing reports and blogs and participating in social media.

Qualifications Education: A bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years related full time professional work experience, ministry experience or equivalent. A graduate theological degree is preferred. Experience: Demonstrated staff supervision experience and strong project management and relationship building skills. Must be knowledgeable about diverse Christian traditions, the church and theological sector. Strong candidates for this position will be: Skilled in developing and managing projects, budgets and staff with minimum supervision Able to work collaboratively and respectfully with a variety of people Able to write and communicate effectively, and convene, facilitate and present to large and small groups Able to use Apple computers and social media Able to travel and work some evenings and weekend Able to live in Atlanta, Georgia

Salary Range: ($65-$75,000) Negotiable, commensurate with experience. Position available immediately.
