____________________________________________________________________________________ The real estate courses and seminars offered are designed to meet the needs of real estate professionals, those who wish to enter the field, and individuals who want to meet the minimum educational requirements set forth by the State Real Estate Commission for the real estate salesperson, broker and appraiser. Basic Appraisal Procedures 36 9 $400 Additional Fee ____________________________________________________________________________________ Course Descriptions Real Estate Principles & Practices This introductory course prepares students to take the real estate licensing examination and meet the minimum educational requirements set forth by the State Real Estate Commission for the real estate licensee. Students intending to sit for the State of Connecticut Real Estate exam must attend 60 hours and pass this course with a grade of 70 or above. Basic Appraisal Principles This basic appraisal course provides an overview of real property concepts and characteristics, legal consideration, value influences, real estate finance, types of value, economic principles, real estate markets and analysis, and ethics in appraisal practice. Thorough discussion of appraisal principles, accompanied by practical examples, provides a solid foundation in appraisal basics. A calculator is recommended. For students intending to sit for State of Connecticut licensing exam must complete 30 hours and pass this course with a grade of 75 or better. This course has been purchased from Hondros Learning. AQB approval has been granted to Hondros Learning.

Basic Appraisal Procedures This basic appraisal course provides an overview of real estate appraisal approaches to valuation procedures, value property description, residential applications, commercial applications, improvement construction, home inspection, and appraisal math. Through theory, case studies, and examples, the course offers practical application of appraisal procedures. A calculator is recommended. Students intending to take the State of Connecticut licensing exam must complete 30 hours with a grade of 70 or better. This course has been purchased from Hondros Learning; AQB approval has been granted to Hondros Learning. Helpful Information How to become a Real Estate Sales Person* Register and pass the Real Estate Principles and Practices course. This pre-licensing course is required by the State of Connecticut. Applicants who completed a 30-hours Principles and Practices course after October 1, 1994, may complete a 30-hour portion of the Principles and Practices course rather than completing the entire 60-hour course. How to Become a Real Estate Broker* Attend and successfully complete Real Estate Principles and Practices course (must meet the 60-hour standard). Applicants who completed a 30-hour Principles and Practices course after October 1, 1994, may complete an addition 30-hour Principles and Practices course rather than completing a 60-hour course. Attend and successfully complete Basic Appraisal Principles or Basic Appraisal Procedures. Attend and successfully complete an additional approved course in a related subject in real estate.
