Stages Class organization

Activities/Techniques The teacher prepares the class for the new lesson, and checks out if there is anybody missing Warm-up The teacher checks if Ss. had any problems resolving the homework assignment. Then the teacher presents the topic of the lesson: learning the name of colours in English and using them in describing the colour of different objects. Lead The teacher asks the in/picture Ss. to open their discussion books at page 16 and to describe the images presented in the textbooks. They are asked what is presented in the images, what colour do those objects have? Comprehension Ss. are asked to activity repeat after their teacher the words that can be found below each image. They must identify which word corresponds to each colour. Vocabulary

Extension activities

Teacher gives Ss. a Drawing handout where they can find the word and translation of each colour. They have to use cloured pencils and draw on their handout. After drawing their speaking handout Ss. have to work in pairs and resolve exercise 4 page 16 Ss. are asked to resolve the exercise on their handout
