EFFECT OF GREEN TEA PLANT SHOOT (Camellia sinensis) TO NUMBER OF WISTAR RATS CIRCULATING ENDOTHELIAL CELLS SERUM IN THE

INDUCTION OF CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE Damayanti, Cici*, Martino, Yoyon Arif**, Elyani, Helmin** *Student of Medical Education University of Islam Malang **Staff Teaching Medical Education Courses University of Islam Malang ABSTRACT Introduction: Endothelial cells is a continue layer in all of cardiovascular system. Free radical exposure in endothelial cells will cause necrosis and endothelial cells detachment from tunika intima. After that endothelial cells will be in circulation and it is called CECs (Circulating Endothelial Cells). Green tea has cathecin, gallic acid, carotenoid, tocopherols, and vitamin C which has been known as anti oxidant. In this research is going to find out the effect of green tea plant shoot ( Camellia sinensis) to number of wistar rats circulating endothelial cells serum in the induction of calcium hypochlorite. Methods: The experimental control group post test only research is using wistar rats (n=20 rats) in 5 group. Negative control test group (K0) induced 2cc aquades, the positive control (K1) induced calcium hypochlorite 800mg/kgBB, and the treatment group (P1, P2, and P3) were induced green tea extract successively with a concentration of 1%, 1.5%, and 3% followed by the induced of calcium hypocholrite 800mg/kgBB for 14 days in all groups. Detection of CECs serum is using CEC Enrichment and Enumeration Kit (MACSQuant Analyzer), the result of the data is analyzing with one way ANOVA test, followed by Tukey test, it is said significance when significant is P<0.05. Result: The number of CECs at P1, P2, and P3 can reduce the number of wistar rats CECs serum in risk group/ treatment significantly with value of 0.00 (P<0.05) compared to the positive control group, but have not been able to reduce reaches the number of wistar rats CECs serum in normal group/ negative control group. Conclusion: The induced of green tea plant shoots extract 1%, 1.5%, and 3% were able to reduce the number of wistar rats CECs serum that induced calcium in all treatment group compared to positive control group. Tea with dosage of 3% can reduce in number of CECs almost reach the number of CECs negative cotrol group, whereas dosage of 1% and 1.5% can reduce the number of CECs lower than the number of CECs positive control group.
