Bicol University Tabaco Campus DEPARTMENT OF NURSING Tabaco City CLINICAL TEACHING PLAN Clinical Area: ER of ZMDH Description

of Learners: The Fourth Year student (Group 9) of Bicol University Tabaco Campus Setting: Ziga Memorial District Hospital; ER; 3-11 No. of Students: Eleven (11) Students General Objective: At the end of rotation, the students will be able to gain more knowledge and experience and able to identify important pointers from each days of hospital duty. Specific Learning Objective: Within the two weeks exposure, the students can identify the different roles and functions of a nurse in the Emergency Room; and also to improve their individual skill even its only for a short period of time. Grading System: SKILLS 50%(Performance of basic nursing procedure, bedside care) KNOWLEDGE 30%(Requirements: NCP, Case Study, Drug Study, exams) ATTITUDE 20% (Attitude/Attendance) Total 100% Briefing/ Orientation: Introducing myself as their student clinical instructor, explain some rules and requirement needed and the strategies that we will apply during duty hours. Methods/ Strategies of Teaching and Learning: Cooperative learning, Lecturing or Discussion, Evaluation, Examination Debriefing/ Evaluation: The students had learned more knowledge with the use of those certain methods and strategies of learning. Activities: Specific Objectives: Teacher Students Evaluation Students should be able to learn and understand the discussed topic by the clinical instructor Certain topic will be discussed to assess the student knowledge about a certain topic Students will have to answer questions related to the topic and subject By looking at the student scores in the exam, the clinical instructor identify the extent of knowledge of the student thus knowing if they had learned something or not Clinical instructor observe the students show and able to follow the correct guidelines of RLE during duty hours The student able to share and impart some data and history about their patient

The students maybe able to comply with the guidelines of RLE The students may deliver appropriate nurse-patient interaction (NPI) The students should correctly assess and identify presence of danger signs and referring immediately if necessary

Orienting the student about guidelines of RLE in clinical setting and the hospital based rules to be follow Joining with the students during duty hours and trying to ask about some data and history about the patient By reassessing the vital signs and status of the patient in which the students have previously checked

The students will follow the rules and guidelines of RLE in the hospital from the orientation that happen Student will be involve in the nurse-patient interaction and be able to get important data from the patient The student will use their own paraphernalia in assessing the patient that arrived in the Emergency Room

The student correctly confirm the danger signs present and able to report it immediately to the assigned medical personnel inside the Emergency Room
