Conjecture
Between adults, children and babies, babies have the most body fat percentage followed by children and adults. Secondly, females have higher body fat percentage than males.

Give your reason Based on the answers in Part 1 and Part 2, the mean and standard deviation is chosen to represent the data. Mean is widely known, it can be calculated easily and accurately. It can represent the data as whole. Standard deviation takes into consideration the deviation of each value in the set of data from their mean.

Conclusion
After much research we have found the advantages and disadvantages of mean, mode, median, range, interquartile range, variance, and standard deviation. Mean is widely known; it can be calculated easily and accurately and can represent the data as whole. The disadvantage of mean is that it is sensitive to extreme values. Median is easy to understand and easy to calculate. Median lies at the middle part of the series and hence it is not affected by extreme values. In grouped data, it can be graphically located by drawing ogives. The disadvantages of mean are it is not rigidly defined. In simple series having even number of items, median cannot be exactly found. Moreover, the interpolation formula applied in the continuous series is based on the unrealistic assumption that the frequency of the median class is evenly spread over the magnitude of the class interval of the median group. Mode is easy to understand and simple to calculate. It is not affected by extreme values and can be useful for qualitative data. The disadvantage is there may be more than one mode or no mode if none of the data is the same. It may not accurately represent the data. The range is very easy to calculate because it is simply the difference between the largest and the smallest observed values in a data set. Thus, range, including any outliers, is the actual spread of data. The disadvantage of using range is that it does not measure the spread of the majority of values in a data set it only measures the spread between highest and lowest values. Interquartile range is preferred over range because it eliminates the influence of extreme values, is easy to measure and to obtain. The disadvantage is that it is a positional measure, based only on the third quartile and the first quartile. Variance considers all data and is not a terminal statistic. Since its units are in squared units of the original observations, its value is harder to interpret than standard deviation resulting to lack of use. Standard deviation takes into consideration the deviation of each value in the set of data from their mean. Its disadvantage is it doesn't tell you the full range of the data, and it can be affected by extreme values. Carrying out this Additional Mathematics Project Work, it is fun and interesting because I needed to plan the project carefully and systematically to acquire accurate results. In the conjecture, I have made an early prediction that between adults, children and babies, babies have the most body fat percentage followed by children and adults. Secondly, the body fat

percentage of the students depends on the gender of the students. The body fat percentage of the respondents differs as the weight of male and female are different. Females are known to have more body fat percentage in comparison to the males whereas the weight of the females is lower in comparison to the males. In Further Exploration, Part (c), the earlier predictions was proven and is accepted. Surprisingly, Further Exploration was a fun session because it had opened my mind about statistics and I have known much more about statistics.

In a nutshell, I can apply all the concept and skills that I had in compiling the data and in solving the problems in Additional Mathematics. I think that this project work is very beneficial to all of the students. I would also like to thank the one who contributed the idea of statistics that help me a lot in business and in the daily activities of our daily lives.
