Boeing Operations in Maryland

Approximately 1,250 employees work at multiple locations throughout the state supporting defense and commercial customers, with the largest concentrations in Germantown, Patuxent River, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Annapolis Junction and Andrews Air Force Base: Germantown Germantown is the largest Boeing site in Maryland, where Boeing subsidiary Digital Receiver Technology, Inc. (DRT) is headquartered. Approximately 420 employees support Boeings Network & Space Systems business activities. DRT designs and manufactures DSP-based communications test and measurement equipment. Its wireless test solutions address the need for high-capacity or multi-standard analysis of cellular systems. Patuxent River Approximately 400 Boeing Engineering, Operations & Technology (EO&T) employees work at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, providing support to four U.S. Navy programs including: the P-8A Poseidon, the V-22 Osprey, the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet & the EA-18 Growler, and the T-45 Goshawk. The site began as a McDonnell Douglas operation in 1946. Aberdeen Proving Ground Boeing has two facilities located on Aberdeen Proving Ground comprising 32,000 square feet of space. In 2011, Boeing opened a field marketing office in close proximity to key Boeing customers, which is staffed by Boeing Defense, Space & Security field marketing personnel. The office serves as the resident "voice of the customer" and Boeing advocate while promoting business opportunities and developing key relationships. In March 2012 Boeing took occupancy of 26,500 square feet within a multi-tenanted building, which houses Boeings Network & Space Systems employees who support an engineering, manufacturing and development contract to deliver Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS) aircraft. Annapolis Junction Boeing has two facilities in Annapolis Junction, with more than 85,000 square feet of office space, working primarily on cyber security solutions. Boeings National Security Programs business unit provides systems engineering, software development and cybersecurity network assessment services in support of the intelligence community and DOD customers. In October 2011 Boeing opened their new Cyber Engagement Center staffed with security experts from across the Boeing enterprise who will work in a

collaborative environment alongside our customers to tackle the most challenging issues in cyberspace. Andrews Air Force Base Global Services & Support employees working at Andrews Air Force Base support the VC-25 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) facility, which supports the fleet of two VC-25 aircraft known as Air Force One when the President of the United States is on board. They also support the Boeing Fleet Support Center, providing logistics and technical support for the C-32, C-40B and C-40C aircraft at Andrews Air Force Base, Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as well as worldwide support.
