What is your #1 goal in life?

Your answer to that question will reveal your dominant life value. Everyone has one. Its what we unconsciously base our decisions on. God tells us that love is to be our dominant life value. In fact, Jesus once said that of all the commands in the Bible only two are most important. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. Beginning Sunday, September 1, our Church family will begin another 40 days journey. The focus of this journey will be the two commands, loving the Lord our God and your neighbor, it is called 40 Days of Love. With conflict, divorce, violence, prejudice, abuse, division and polarization around us daily, its obvious we all need some lessons in building healthy relationships, and thats what 40 Days of Love is all about. Like, 40 Days of Community, we will offer small groups following a six-week DVD study taught by Rick Warren. We already have some group leaders but if you would like to lead a small groups please let me know ASAP. I look forward to the adventure that God has in store for us during this 40 days journey. Bo

School starts back August 19th Stock Holders Ice Cream Social August 25th @ 6:00 pm Student/Parent Work Day September 7th @ 2:00 pmsee you here at FUMC The Youth council needs a team of volunteers to help with 5th Quarters this football season and monthly community outreaches. September 1st Encounter Worship & Word will be on Sunday nights @ 6:30 pm Steven & Megan will be leading a Bible Study on Wednesday nights.
