I am studying the scriptures to see what is taught about secrets. Secret things belong to God but He chooses to reveal them to us (Deuteronomy 29:29). Come Sunday expecting God to speak and move in our midst about the secret/hidden things of the kingdom.

Message from Pastor Reid

Rejoicing in the Wake of a Great Weekend for the Kingdom!
Last weekend, August 2-4, was a great time for the Kingdom of God. The energy and enthusiasm I witnessed in our Vacation Bible School was very inspirational!! I am confident God was smiling and the saints were cheering as we saw our young people sing their songs, quote the scriptures, and participate in other activities. The advancement of Gods Kingdom was very evident. However, the weekend also presented challenges. I was reminded of how life is very fragile on Sunday morning as I accompanied a Burlington Policeman on a death notification. Notifying a father of the tragic end of his 33 year old sons life was very humbling. During our worship service it occurred to me any advancement of Gods Kingdom will be challenged. The broken world we live in however will not override the providential hand of God (Romans 8:28). All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. I thank God for the opportunity to serve you at Faith Christian Church. Your love is very evident. The way you give of yourselves for the benefit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ causes me to thank God. Keep up your witness for our Lord keep looking up God is on the move! Pastor Reid

Baptism Service in One Week!
On Sunday, August 18 our worship service will end around the swimming pool behind Howard and Glenda Walkers home. Baptism symbolizes the washing away of our sins, the reception of the Holy Spirit, and the new life we have in Jesus Christ. Thought for the Week:
