Consumer loan: An amount of money lent to tan individual (usually on a non secured basis) for personal, family or household

purposes. Consumer loans are monitored by government regulatory agencies for their compliance with consumer protection regulations such as the Truth in Lending ACT. Also called consumer credit or consumer lending.

Description SUBMITTED STATUSES The application needs review from an underwriter for a combination of credit decision, fraud, Income etc., Loan has been approved, but conditions of the loan have NOT been satisfied Approval has been given, but the loan has NOT been finalized All closing paperwork has been generated and forwarded to the member or the member who has completed the online e-sign document process An underwriter decides NOT to approve or deny the applicant's original request, but will offer a different loan agreement. Loan has been counter offered, but conditions of the loan have NOT been satisfied A loan decision will not be made until additional information is received.

Member Declines Debt Protection Coverage with Loan Documents


When the member alters the Debt Protection Addendum/Agreement to decline coverage or includes a written request within the loan package to terminate coverage, complete the following: 1. Process and book loan.

Fulfillment Debt Protection Termination by E-mail


If the member responds by e-mail saying he wishes to terminate coverage, a reply can be sent to the member saying that this request is required in writing.

The termination request form is available on Connect, and can be printed to usaa.com. A work item is created upon receipt of the termination request form and completed by Account Services. The primary borrower must request termination.

Approved Pending Conditions - Career Starter Loan information on conditional approvals on Career Starter Loans.

Qualified applications will be placed in an Approved Pending Conditions status until applicants are able to provide the requested documentation. IMPORTANT: Applications that are in an Approved Pending Conditionsstatus are not systematically withdrawn after 45 days. They will need to be manuallydiscontinued.

Complete the following process when reviewing applications in an Approved Pending Conditions status

EXAMPLE: The same work item appears again when selectingGet Work in CLO when Cancel is selected. For Internet applications, enter the following template in Comments: u/w no action taken.
