General
specification
Centrifugal fans senes "Ch" are high
efficiency fans bemg suitable for the
widest range of industrial applications.
These include process air drying, in-
dustnal air conditioning, dust and fu-
me extraction. paint booth extraction
also forced and induced draught for
boilers and furnaces.
The volume, pressure and temperature
range 1s maximised by careful design
and special emphasis has been given
to standardisation of components ma-
king the whole range a series.
Two types of backward inclined impel-
lers are used throughout the range
ChA which has airfoil blades and ChB
which has flat blades. Impeller diame-
ter range from 253 mm to 2450 mm
and the series compnses 24 sizes.
Jn the size range 9 to 36.

manufactured in two classes with adju-
stable housing. In the range 40.

/4 to 89
three classes are available with fixed
housing. To enable transport fans sizes
60 to 89 are delivered unassembled for
erection on site by clients. A large ran-
ge of accessories completes this senes
of tans.
Ch A
Impeller with backward
inclined airfoil blades
The ChA impeller has 12 a1rfo1! blades.
so arranged to give the highest
efficiency and welded between a
substantial backplate and stream/med
side plate.
Efficiencies of 90% are obtainable and
noise levels are kept to a minimum.
The ChA impeller is best suited for
clean air with hum1d1ty lower than 80%.
ChB
Impeller with backward
inclined flat blades
The ChB impeller has 12 flat blades
welded between a substantial
backplate and stream/med s1deplate
and so arranged to give ell1c1enc1es up
to 86%.
This design is suitable tor air
containing light dry dust m quantities
lower than 100 mg/Nm' or when there
is high humidity.

Motor position
designation
Motor positions are determined by
viewing the fan from motor drive end,
and selecting W, X, Y or Z
for arrangement 1 and W or Z
for arrangement 9.
If not specified motor will be
assembled opposite outlet.
