Dear Ms Ng THE FULLERTON-SJI LEADERSHIP LECTURES 2011 I am pleased to invite you to nominate 10 members from DUAL to attend the next session of The Fullerton-SJI Leadership Lectures 2011 at 4.30pm on Friday, 26 August 2011 in the Straits Room, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Professor Tan Chorh Chuan will deliver the Lecture. Prof Tan was appointed President of NUS in 2008. He is concurrently the Deputy Chairman of Singapores Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and Chairman, Board of the National University Health System. Prof Tan is a leader in Singapores Biomedical Sciences Initiative since its inception in 2000, for which he was awarded the National Science and Technology Medal in 2008. He also received the Public Service Star in 2003 for outstanding contributions to overcoming SARS in Singapore, and the Public Administration Gold Medal in 2004 for his work in the Ministry of Health. Other awards include the Albert Schweitzer Gold Medal from the Polish Academy of Medicine, 1996 Singapore Youth Award and Honorary Doctorates from Loughborough University and Duke University. Prof Tan will share insights on education and its importance in preparing young people for life and leadership. A renal specialist who is adept at Chinese painting and enjoys trekking, and now leader of a premier Singapore university, Prof Tan is another inspirational speaker to engage at our FullertonSJI Leadership Lecture series. The Fullerton-SJI Leadership Lectures is organized under the auspices of Fullerton Hotel and St Josephs Institution (SJI), with the support of The Straits Times as media partner. Mr Warren Fernandez, an SJI Old Boy, will chair and moderate the discussion. Each Lecture features an SJI Old Boy who has had a major impact on Singapore and Singaporeans. In 2010, we had the honour of hosting Mr George Yeo, Mr Philip Yeo, Mr Lim Chee Onn and Mr Dick Lee. The 2011 series has featured Mr Gerard Ee and Mr Peter Seah. By sharing their experiences and leadership moments, we hope to learn about the art of leadership, and key considerations that go into making critical decisions in both the public and private sectors. This will foster greater awareness of developments that have shaped Singapore over the years, and hopefully, inspire Singaporeans. As allocation of the limited seats is on a first-come-first-served basis, please revert to Ms Anita Sebastian (anita@sji.edu.sg) by Friday, 12 August 2011 if interested to attend. Sincerely

Victor Lye Chairman, Organizing Committee The Fullerton-SJI Leadership Lectures
