A year ago we began haying

Am) TEE LORD ADDED

We haye seen four aore persons accept Christ and conplete

their primary obedience to Hia since our last bulletin. We are grateful for these and are praying for others who are

today at the threshold of decision.

Interest has been good

through the winter months and there are seyeral new contacts

who are sincerely Interested. Attendance always drops during

the winter because the fBiailies don't have heated homes nor much warm clothing. They stay in bed until late and don't stray far from home. These new contacts have helped in hold ing up attendance and are encouraging to us as we see them
becoming more and aore interested.

Dear Boys and Girls, It has been a long tiae since we wrote tp yon. We are all fine and onr little bt^her, Steyie, is growing everyday. We want to tell you about a visit we had at a large raneh one day. The raneh buildings were all placed in the shape of a big W with the patio in the aiddle. This is where the owner, the hired help and aninals lived. We played in the patio most of the day, but liked to run around on the hills near by. The most fun we had was when we rode the burxip. Both Kathy and I would olimb on and away we' would go. One day one of the helper's little boys, the same age as Kathy, got sick and Daddy took him to the hospital. He got a little better at first, but then he got worse and died* Daddy helped build him a oasket and they put some of my clothes on him. ^Qien Daddy and his family took him to the cemetery. W^ were sorry, but we know the little boy is with

Jesus now and Baddy says this nay be the way to make it
easier for his Daddy and Mother to leam of Jesus and be His helpers. Last fall we went on a trip with Mother and Daddy and
visited a lot of Christian Friends in the States and we also

spent Christmas at Grandma's house.

0 GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD

Pealm 136
We feel much thanks should

be gi7en to the Lord from us here in Chihuahua, and from those of you have made this work possible. First, because the spiritual work is growing stronger every day. Five more
have been since our added to the Lord last bulletin was

written, and several more have expressed the desire to be bap

tised soon.
The Lord has also added to

His church in a material way, as He has proveded a place for We were able to purchase, with

with several rooms. These rooms can be used for Bible School rooms and will be ideal for DVBS. Also there is a lot of

room in the back for outdoor services and space for children

to play during DVBS time, The church proper is two large rooms with the partition removed, and we feel this will pro
vide sufficient room for some time.

The dedication program

for

the

building was

March 27.

There was

about 60

people in attendance for that service.

Special numbers were given by members. Gene gave a talk about how the Christians in the States had made i t possible for them to have a church building. Bro. Moreno preached a sermon on Solomon and the building of the temple. Baptismal certificates were given to the Christians. The service was concluded with the Lord's Supper and prayer*

our hearts unto him,..." 1 Kings 8:57i58a.

STOLEN FROM US

LOST FOR CHRIST

STOP THIBF'.l*. But the thief did not stop. With the re pairs that needed to be done to the new building at Rancheria Juarez, the bench-saw was taken out so that door and window frames, plus doors and windows could be made* It had no sooner been taken out than it was found missing* This was a daring venture on the part of the thieves as by the foot prints we could see where one person had stood around wait ing until no one was in sight. The saw was on a bench with the motor and was taken out of our back yard, carried the

length between our house and the neighbors, across their iront yard, and out their front gate. The tracks of a car indicated it was pulled up by their gate and apparently when they lifted the saw up to put it in the car, the leg of the bench dragged the ground. We think It was done by a gang of organized thieves which have terrorized the city recently. Since the saw was taken prowlers have entered the grounds, and it makes i t Impossible to leave the house alone at all
in the evenings.

V/ith the disappearance of the bench saw and the motor, it has made the repairs more expensive, because it has had to be done commercially. There Is much more we wanted to get

done by the way of making benches and pews, communion table,

pulpit, and chairs, but this will have to wait until we can

secure another saw. This was a valuable piece of equipment and we need to replace i t as soon as possible, and we feel

Dear Boys and Girls, This will be a short letter, but we wanted to tell you about learning some lessons in honesty.
We learned what i t means to steal when some bad .Tien came and

took Daddy's saw away. We couldn't figure out why anyone would take something that belongs to someone else. Then Daddy and Mother explained that many people who douH know Jesus will steal things from others and tell lies to iiurt someone they don*t like. They told us that these people do not love Jesus or they would not do things li;o that. That is why we are here in Mexico to teach everyone about Jesus, And the best way we can show these people is to live the way Jesus wants us to so they can see that we really do love God, Sometimes it is hard for us to be good like we should, but I think it is hard for the grown-ups too. Then we should nek
God to help us to be better.

I remember the icy day just 21 days and 750 miles latter ii/hen the three of us crawled out of a muddy wreck. I remember when we pulled out of the church yard, the now a little older car heavily loaded pulling a trailer in worse condition,on our first leg to the mission
field.

I remember seeing thousands of miles

roll up as we traveled

speaking on behalf of our mission project. I remember the heavy burden for the car as it faithfully

hauled ^1 our earthly possesions to our first

mission work.

I remember the joy as it took its

first

trip to bring the

message of Christ to the interior along with the loads of toys, candies, and gifts for many Mexican Christians and prospects. I remember the move into the Interior as again our faithful

old Chev.pulled its newly acquired mate (our houao

I remember the hundreds of times it has been loaded with as

many as

25 people as we

I remember through this all when the motor began to use oil,
the upholstery began to come in holes, the
springs began to sag.

NOW I SEE a car, veiy faithful in her dedicated roll as servant of the Lord, who has rolled up 100,000

miles, whose front shlmnles, whose motor is shot, whose trcmsmission drags, battered and banged frcn
the very faithful Mexican driver. To me it la like parting with a best friend, but even the best of friends must part and I feel that we can no longer expect that she is safe for the tremendous
tasks set before her. We are looking for a latter model to replace her. There is no bank balance and

we will have to buy by financing. If you would like to help keep a very faithful servant on the field in Mexico could you, your group, or your church help by taking the payments for a month or part? If so will you write telling us which month you would like. If you can help now that would

Fllemon and family left this August to return to his hone state, and in his place we have two student preach ers. These students are taking college classes and one is putting his knowledge Into practical experience in Rancherla
Juarez and the other here in town. In this manner the work

in both areas has been expanded. At present we are working on Bible School material* ^cturea fron primary leaflets are cut out and filed accord ing to stories. The story is then written in Spanish by one of our native preachers, and then hectographed. The picture is then pasted on the front of the printed .paper. Our les sons have been dealing with stories of ^Isaac to Joseph and stories on the life of Moses. Flannelgraph lessons are pre pared to be presented with the lesson. The adults as well as the children enjoy these lessons. Since the last bulletin vas printed, there has been nine more baptized, and five more who have made their confession* These will be baptized as soon as they are instructed more about the real meaning of becoming a Christian. We pray that God will continue to bless the work here# Ve feel definate gains have been made in establishing a per manent work and with God's help we pray it will grow steady and strong.
