PART 1 -- GENERAL 1.1 A. THE REQUIREMENT The CONTRACTOR shall furnish and install [ ] aftercooler [and oil separator unit[s]] complete and workable, with all connections, supports, controls, valves, drains, gages, and other accessories and appurtenances for cooling [and oil separation] of air compressor discharge prior to its entry into the air receiver, as specified herein in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. PART 2 -- PRODUCTS 2.1 A. COMPRESSOR AFTER COOLER Construction: The aftercooler shall be of the shell and tube type, with corrosion-resistant tubes and tube sheets, and steel or cast-iron shell and air headers. [The outlet of the aftercooler shall be flanged to an oil and water separator of the centrifugal type, with drain trap.] Air inlet and outlet flanges shall be [ ]-inch ANSI 150-lb. The cooler shall be mounted on fabricated steel brackets.
