GC Europe Campus.
A new standard in training and education.

A new standard in training and education.

As one of the worlds most innovative dental companies, GC wants to continue with its development and research ultimately introducing the dental market to new concepts, products and methods. With the desire to teach all these new technologies and applications to different European dental markets, GC invested heavily and is proud to announce the official opening of the GC Europe Campus, meeting & education centre located on the GC site in Leuven, Belgium. The meeting & education centre welcomes dental technicians, dentists, hygienists, students, GC sales representatives and GC dealers sales representatives for different modules in hands-on courses, presentations and demonstrations for all of GCs major technologies and products. We are confident that these new facilities will help us to encourage the exchange of knowledge and education between dental professionals throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

Dentists:
Composites. Beautiful aesthetics, simply achieved.
The GC GRADIA family is a unique light-cured composite system for indirect restorations such as crowns, bridges, inlays, veneers and all types of direct restorations whether in the anterior or the posterior region. Setting a new standard for aesthetic invisibility GC Gradia Direct is easy to use, giving a superb, naturallooking direct restoration with only one shade and if further aesthetic enrichment is required, extra shades can be added very simply. Developed for todays dentistry, GC Gradia Direct meets the needs of both patients and dentists by giving a superb natural-looking restoration. GC Gradia Direct also gives dentists the opportunity to perform modern minimal intervention dentistry to the aesthetic satisfaction of the patient. To create anatomically functional composite restorations the responding natural tooth is the ideal guide. After analysing the structure of the existing dentition we can use simple steps to rebuild the perfect copy of the natural example. GC Gradia Direct offers all the possibilities required to rebuild a natural and functional occlusion. Even monochromatic restorations become beautiful due to the materials unique chameleon effect.

Our town.
Leuven (French: Louvain, often used in English, German: Lwen) is the capital of the province of Flemish Brabant in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is situated about 30 kilometers east of Brussels. Our town is home to the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, the largest and oldest university of the Low Countries and the oldest Catholic university still in existence. Leuven also houses the Anheuser-Busch InBev, the worlds largest brewer group and one of the top five largest consumer goods companies in the world. Nowadays Leuven is a real student city, as during the academic year most citizens in its centre are students. If during your stay you are interested in discovering more of Belgium an ideal starting point is the coast, only a 1,5 hour train ride away. Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Lige, Mechelen and Hasselt are nearby. More information about Leuven and Belgium can be found on the following Tourist Information websites: www.leuven.be www.visitbelgium.com

Technicians:

Composites. Restorations with toughness and beauty.

GC GRADIA is a unique light-cured Micro-Ceramic-Composite system for crowns, bridges, inlays and veneers, which compared to conventional composites, gives restorations a colour tone close to that of natural teeth. A product of GC research, GC GRADIAs more natural tooth appearance has been achieved by developing its resin colour tones in conjunction with its application technique. This has created a system where the final restoration is of optimum hue, brightness and chroma. The natural appearance of the gum tissues has to be taken into account as much as the shape, form and shade of the restored teeth at any age. This includes an exact length ratio of the crown and the restored atrophic periodontal and gingival tissues. With GC GRADIA gum shades this ratio can be easily achieved using light-curing materials of varying viscosity.

Other dental professionals:

To strengthen our relationships with our partner network, we will offer in conjunction with our local sales activities and supported by our dealer management concept, all our partners the opportunity to attend new product introduction trainings for their sales representatives and call centre staff. Unified and with product knowledge combined with in-depth product and sales training will ultimately lead to long-term mutual success. The GC Europe Campus will also be the exchange centre between dental science and the dental world. Our long-standing support for many centres of excellence will support GC Corporation in translating research into the development of innovative products. This new central platform will give strong support in helping to recognise trends and product requirements at the earliest stages by the communication and exchange of knowledge at all possible levels.

Minimum Intervention. The concept brought into practice.

As well as pioneering product development, GC as a cutting edge dental company, has taken the first ever initiative to support the evolution of the newest concept of caries management: Minimum Intervention (MI). Many lectures and publications related to MI have been delivered over the years, but one issue has remained unclear to the General Practitioner (GP) How can I integrate MI in my daily practice? The GC Europe, MI Advisory Board is a Pan-European group of top level academics, researchers and GPs. Working together they have formulated a Treatment Plan for the implementation of the MI philosophy into routine dental practice. Through publications and symposia the message will be spread to enable every GP to have a clear view on how to implement MI in his day to day practice. MITP trainings Target groups for these trainings are the entire dental team, dentist, assistant and hygienist. With interactive clinical cases participants will be explained step-by-step how to treat patients according to the MI principles. To support the implementation in the daily practice routine the business model will be explained to all participants. GC has been working very closely with technicians to determine which of the ceramic porcelain properties are most important and what exactly the technicians would like to achieve with their porcelain. During this course the Initial System will be demonstrated in its entirety, with a hands-on session allowing you to use the material on actual cases.

Ceramics. One ceramic line for all restorative indications.

GC Initial consists of six ceramics in one integrated product and colour line, which can create metal-ceramic and full-ceramic restorations. No longer do you have to spend valuable time learning to use a myriad of different ceramics to create a wide variety of restorations.
