ADMINISTRATIVE CORNER
Dear Patriot Families, As your new administrative team, we welcome you to the 2013-2014 school year. We have been working all summer to set up a successful school year and are very excited about our opportunity to serve and support the PVES community. Wed like to take the opportunity to welcome back returning families, and extend a warm welcome to the Kindergarten families and all those who are new to Pine View. Our community includes about 700 students and an excellent staff that is dedicated to the success of every child. Students enter the building excited and enthusiastic to learn, and we look forward to working with them and building a positive home/school relationship. Please, consider the following suggestions to work with us to develop a powerful team that supports student learning:

Email or voice-mail your childs teacher with questions, information, concerns, or celebrations. Phone teachers between 8:40-9:20 or 4:00-4:10. Always pre-schedule meetings with your childs teacher to ensure adequate time for conversation. Send notes about after school arrangements with your child in the morning to avoid classroom interruptions. Attend school functions, parent teacher conferences, PTO events. Volunteer- register to be an approved volunteer, form on the district website, www.pasco.Sl.k12.us. The cafeteria will be open for breakfast at 9:15 AM. Students will enter their classroom at 9:30 AM, and will be tardy after 9:40 AM. All visitors must sign in through the front ofSice. Please, have your drivers license with you. The only exception will be week 1. During week 1, the ofSice staff will greet you and give you a visitor tag. After that, we encourage you to allow your student to independently walk to class. We will have adult supervision throughout campus to assist students should they need help.

Effective home/school communication increases students success. We look forward to a tremendous year of growth and opportunity for our Pine View Patriot students. Your continued support of the PVES staff is greatly appreciated. Sincerely,

Kay Coe Principal
