There are many witha misunder standing of what it means to pledge to mission work. They think that to make a pledge means that they must take the complete support of an in dividual, and realizingthattheycannot do this, they dismiss from their minds any thought of regular and sys
tematic giving.

Hello therel I promised in my first letter to keep you informed as to what happens to me as I launch out on this adventure with my Daddy and Mommy. Well, things have real ly happened to mel I had a broken arm and had to have it in a splint for six weeks. We have traveled many thousands of miles and made a great many new friends who have all trea ted me so very kindly that 1 have not even minded not having a real home. Pledges, for the most part, come from individuals pledging $5 or $10 a month or from churches pledging $10 or $20 a month; each of these in dividuals and churches becoming an integral part of the work they support.

We want to welcome you as a fellow-worker in Brazil. Our going to that country and our maintenance
while there will be in the hands of the

The spotlight of our mission work is on the Bible and its teachings. How are we going to convey its mes sage to the people of Brazil? The Roman Church has foryears discour aged the reading of God's Word and
other literature that teaches its truth.
