Honourable Speaker, judges, revered opposition members, esteem timekeepers, and members of the house, ladies and gentleman,

I wish you a very good morning. As the third cabinet minister, I would like to state that we the government ministers fully stand and support by the motion and definition of the motion as put forward by the Hounarable Prime minister earlier. As such we the government believe that the influx of imported cars should be minimized. Rebut

Ladies and gentleman, we the government have tabled the motion that the influx of imported cars should be minimized. If Malaysians grow too passionate about foreign cars, this will be very bad for our economy as a lot of money will flow out from Malaysia. Besides that, our country will be at the mercy of fluctuating exchange rates if we Malaysians buy too many imported cars. Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, our local-made cars are more advanced, and stylish, why should we support the exchange of currencies and drop the revenue by buying imported cars. As Malaysians we must support our locally made cars because our local industry, Proton and Perodua tie up with foreign companies and use foreign technology to make Malaysian cars. The influx of imported cars should be minimized because it will contribute to more traffic jams and more possible accidents to occur in our country. The statistic which was given by the Road Transport Department shows that 70 % of accidents occur in Malaysia involving foreign cars. Imported cars which have high ccs of 1.8 and 2.0 are most likely to meet in an accident because these cars too fast and very hard to control incase of any emergency. As we all know that our Malaysian drivers are very fast drivers even if they are driving a Myvi 1.3. Just imagine what will happen if they get their hands on sport cars like BMW and Mercedes. Besides if the number imported cars keep on increasing in our country cities like Kl and Jb will be named Jam cities.

Ladies and gentleman, If the number of imported cars increase in our country, the polluted our country will be due to the increase in carbon monoxide gas released by the cars. All cars do release carbon monoxide gas including our locally made cars. We the government wish to decrease the effect of carbon monoxide gas and not to double it by increasing the number of imported cars into Malaysia. Lets keep our money inside our country and not let it flow out of Malaysia due to fluctuating exchange rate Before I end my speech, allow me to once again reiterate our motion and case line. This house believes that minimizing imported cars are vital to ensure the positive growth of our economy and reflect the healthier and better environment for our people. thank you
