The Frank Brim FamilyMissionaries to Brazil

Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in South America. It is the world's fifth largest country, both by geographical area and by population, with 192 million people. It is slightly smaller than the United States. It is comprised of mostly flat to rolling lowlands in the north with some plains, hills, mountains, and a narrow coastal belt. Exploiting vast natural resources and a large labor pool, Brazil is South America's leading economic power and a regional leader. It is the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas. The vast majority of people are Roman Catholic. Frank was approved as a World Baptist Fellowship missionary in August, 1990. Darla was approved in August,1992. Both Frank and Darla grew up in pastors' homes. Frank was saved in 1972 after being shown the plan of salvation by his mother. He surrendered to the call of missions during a mission conference at the age of fifteen. He is a 1988 graduate of Arlington Baptist College. Darla's parents led her to the Lord in their home when she was 9 years old. At that same age she was exposed to missions on a visit to Mexico with them. During another visit to Mexico on spring break in 1991 God confirmed His call to her for missions. Frank and Darla left for their first term of service in Brazil in February, 1994. Their sending church is Chichester Baptist Church in Aston, Pennsylvania.

There Are No Absolutes! You Cant Be Sure of Anything

Those who say that there are no absolutes are often very adamant about their belief. If they say that they are absolutely sure, then they are wrong because their own statement is an absolute. If they are not 100 percent sure, then there is a chance that they are wrong, and they are risking their eternal salvation by trusting in a wrong belief. God tells us that there is an objective, absolute truth that is not subject to mans interpretations or whims, on which we can base our eternity. That truth is the Word of God (John 17:7).

Our Dilemma: We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners.

Formerly known as the Ethnic Festival, the Butler Fall Festival is held on Saturday, September 21, from 11:00 AM until 5 PM. Our church will host a booth at this years festival. Like the Farm Show, this is a great opportunity to meet people from our community and distribute Gospel tracts. Our church will need volunteers to serve at our booth.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 Our Saviour: Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived sinlessly, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children. Whisper a sincere prayer and invite Christ to save you. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Travel with our Pastor to Santa Clara, California, and attend the Pastors & Workers Conference at the North Valley Baptist Church. Since we will be flying to California, we need to make reservations early. Check your schedule, and see if you can attend this church conference. Start saving money now. We will leave early on Monday, March 3, and return late on Friday, March 7, 2014.

Out of respect for your loved ones and those in attendance, we ask parents to use our clean & well-equipped nursery. This free service is available for newborns and infants (birth through 24 months). Your cooperation is needed and appreciated. Assistance is available at the Welcome Center.
