On The Rapid Progress Proceeding From The First Internationale

by Comrade Annex

ver the last month, the Left has being going through a time of rapid and

Outside of Proletarskaya, Comrade Grumper Warlord Xataz has established a grumper commune near Quito. Under the leadership of Comrade Lucifelle, we have seen Ho Chi Minh City expand from two abandoned buildings into a bustling commune with a population of five. Elsewhere, a rail line between

from the Leftist Community. In particular, ties have been severed with the so-called socialist commune of Grundewald, a group that is associated with a corporation something innately contrary to leftism and who have also proven themselves racist, transphobic, and in general not worthy to bear the banner of socialism on multiple occasions.

and briefly appeared on the Civcraft Transport Map. Our appreciation goes out to the Mappers for not linking cities whose coordinates are leaked, and acting quickly to rectify mistakes as they occur!

progress. Particularly within the CSC and the LSIF, settlements have seen more activity and productivity than since the launch of Civcraft 2.0. I can only speak from my experiences, which mainly concern the progress in the CSC. Since the First Internationale,

There have more recently been other small griefing attacks, so we must remain on the lookout for larger threats. Those enemies we have pearled are only the alts of those who wish to harm us. This time of progress will bring us prosperity and greatness, but as we grow, so do the threats to us. In times like these, it is even more important that we remember our motto: Workers of Civcraft, Unite!

Proletarskaya has expanded dramatically, with between 3-5 people joining our ranks. Many buildings have been built, including the great monument to our revolution, The Palace of the Coalition. As Economic Minister of Proletarskaya, I can tell you with the greatest vigor that our productivity and economic growth is more extensive than it has ever been.

Blackcrown and Quito is nearly complete, indirectly connecting the CSC to both the LSIF and Prussia. I have also been informed that the Tower in Catalonia has grown considerably. These are only a few examples of the rapid progress made during the last month. It is also important to note that reactionary elements have been removed

We must remember that even in times of great prosperity such as these, there are still many threats. Ever present are those who would expose our locations to griefers, and in turn those who would greif us. Recently, both Iria and Newtro, two isolated socialist cities in the +-, were griefed after their locations prematurely

Feminism is for Everybody

feminism

they are made to feel ashamed for what was done to them. Feminism wishes to address this as well. Many players feel that certain words that are deemed offensive by feminism are no longer truly offensive. Other times, they consider that certain issues with words have been somewhat addressed, and that the issue with their usage is no longer relevant, and therefore those offended are oversensitive. I cannot speak on the offense that other groups take with terms that are derogatory to them, but I can safely say that tranny is upsetting. I am still vulnerable to abuse because of my gender identity, and that as a trans person, there are still many issues that need to be addressed. And that brings us to this end. If your friends and community are uncomfortable around the usage of such words, shouldnt that be the end of it for you? I do not use certain words because I see the negative impact they make on the lives of my friends and family. I am not perfect however. I am capable of making mistakes, losing perspective, and so forth. Feminism is about being socially conscious. It is not cold and hard school of thought. Have you used certain slurs in the past? Do you recognize how harmful they are to the individuals that they impact? Curb that behavior, move forward

with what you understand, and be a more socially conscious person. Understand that your viewpoint is valued, but that it is not the only narrative to be told,. Understand that others deserve to have their narratives heard and taken into account. Be respectful to those around you to the best of your ability, and recognize

when youve made a mistake, and then own up to it. Thats what feminism to me is. And as such, Im also still learning. I have a long way to go, but Im improving every day, and all that I ask of my community is that you keep an open mind, and try to see issues from the perspective of others.

were initially rather toxic. There

are schools of feminism that view trans* people as subhuman, or perhaps confused at best. That school was my first exposure to feminism, and oh! I loathed it very much. As a trans person, it seemed like I would never have any allies, support, or the ability to live a full life. Soand believe me when I say thiswhen people discuss feminism as a restrictive force in their lives? I fully understand their concerns. Many players on our own server view feminism as an attack on their civil liberties. They may not even follow suit with some of the more toxic aspects of society that feminism wishes to address, but the very thought of being a feminist is abhorrent to them. Ive personally had more positive experiences with feminism since my first interactions, and hope to share what I see in it. Feminism does not seek to restrict anyone. Feminism is not anti-male. It wishes to bring groups of people once without a voice to a place in society where they are able to share their views and be in a equal position with those who are statistically and historically better represented in society. And wouldnt you know it, men often times bear the brunt of some issues too. Male victims of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse are oft times made invisible in our society. Worse yet,

But They Were Only Acting As An Individual, Officer!

hen a player within a group goes rogue, they are quickly

Not only do some groups supply griefers with their diamonds, they also support with culture. If you create a culture surrounding your group which makes it acceptable in the eyes of some individuals to play these jokes on other groups, surely it does not need to be said that griefing is not tolerable? Political Griefing Then there is griefing between cities which do not particularly like each other. This can be seen as a political move by the griefed city and used as justification for an attack on the city of the griefer. When both cities dislike each other, it is hard for them to see through their hate and see either someone griefing because of a culture which was created to allow for that, or simply carefree griefing in an attempt to annoy both parties. Especially in cities where other cities are disliked, culture can be manipulated so vastly that it can inspire people to do things just to annoy those that they hate. With the small populations on civcraft it is often unclear to pick out who is responsible for creating a culture. Is it those who create key tenets or is it those who, even in high up positions, allow the tenets to pass through? I believe that everyone in a position to influence the culture of a group is in a way responsible for the culture, since every action contributes to the culture in at least some To take an example, in the CSC, hate speech and bigotry are not tolerated. While we would never go so far as to foster a culture of unprovoked griefing

disassociated with the group, and their actions are cast as individual actions which are misrepresentative of the group. These actions can often be interpretable as political aggression, such as griefing a town which has expressed a dislike of your group, or just mindless griefing. I will explain and categorise the elements of griefing, and whether or not they can just be so easily disassociated. Mindless Griefing Responsibility for this can range depending on the group that the perpetrator belongs to. If the group is one which spreads gear, such as that required to grief, they could be held accountable for supplying the griefing. If caught in this situation, there are many possible reactions for the group. If they truly do want to disassociate themselves, then it is expected the group recognise the griefer as a criminal (no matter their rank), and pearl them if possible. I would say that this is the best way to deal with griefers amongst your ranks, especially for civilizations which supply their citizens. Probably the worst possible way to handle it is to do nothing: to not even discourage their behaviour and continue to supply them. I would see this as harbouring griefers, and in a way, supporting them.

way. People can be held as part of a culture depending on their view of those radicals within the culture, and when the culture is intolerable for most, their tolerance of those within the culture becomes suspect. But what good is a culture as evidence? Can we compare it to conspiring to grief? I do not believe we can do such a direct thing, given the broad variety of kinds of culture on the server. If the culture is positively reinforced and catered to by the group once it has reached fruition, then they should be held together as a party. If the culture is not wholly supported by the group, and only a small sector, acts antisocially, then I do not believe that you can group them simply for those reasons.

because of hate speech, any action, even criticism, against someone who does use hate speech could be attributed to us as a whole. Intolerance of bigotry is something that we all take quite seriously. Whereas in, for example, Aurora, where a prevalent subculture such as the Redhats has formed by itself, and encompasses not all of the population, a Redhat attack would be pinned on the Redhats, not the Auroran government. Ultimately, I believe that if your group: - Supplies a group - Caters to a culture - Generally does not care whether or not there is griefing by member of the culture/in the name of the culture - Does not try to combat undesirable aspects of the culture. Then they can be held responsible in most cases.

Imperialism in the New Age

ost of us on civcraft have been a part of a small, fledgling town

wasnt hard to revert it. I informed him I understood it isnt hard but I do not like having to clean up the silly mess he made. He didnt change it, he was kicked from the alliance and removed as mod. I didnt really care about any of this, just made me think he was a disrespectful troll. Which is true. Some people were actually angered by these actions, I saw it as nothing more than a minor annoyance. While investigating an alt of a wanted griefer, I acquired evidence of him hiring a griefer to attack [my town] as well as [the city he was in earlier.] This was not the first time he had done this. [A neighboring] people also posted images of him trying to get them to grief places, as well as [a very

was to unpearl some innocents from [the neighboring city], as well as [John Doe], a citizen that was pearled for no reason. [John Doe 2] kinda fucked me in the arbitration by getting drunk without making a decision. So I went in a channel with him and [John Doe 3]. While [John Doe 3] was trying to explain to him that he cant ask me to pay reps of things there is no evidence I did, he threw a fit and spammed, no, in the chat. To spare myself the annoyance of dealing with him and not wanting to waste [John Doe 3]s time either I just said fuck it and gave him 50i blocks.

no one cared that he had lied and kept what I gave him knowing full well I didnt take his stuff and that it had already been returned to me. I dont care about the iron, but out of principle I demanded it be returned. Instead of being a man and admitting his fault, he instead claimed, we wont be bullied, and threatened war on [my town.] When all I want is my items returned or him pearled until he pays me back from what I perceive as stolen from me.

at some pointan underdog of sorts athat might have been subjugated to the imperialist tendencies of another, larger nation. This has been occurring a lot on the current map, as we see the rise of socalled roleplaying, and consequently imperialism, as it would seem those people who roleplay are actually just imperialists, who use their roleplaying to justify their very unjust actions. Large, well-known nations have been attacking, defacing, and belittling less fortunate nations. The text that follows is a first-hand account from the citizen of a small town, with no formal military, that was subject to the threats, attacks, and terrorism from an imperialist nation.

Some of you might have already Later I received a message from a citizen of his city, saying he knew that I didnt steal the items that they claimed. I told him without proof or posting to the sub I didnt matter, but that I appreciated the apology. He then got the proof and posted it to figured out who wrote this account, some of you may not, some of you may be surprised to know that you have come to despise the person who wrote this account of imperialism, and have come to love the man that attacked him, the man who wrote this account was mrgerbic, a resident of Bryn, and the man and city that subjected him was Zombie_Lenin and his cult of crazed roleplayers. No one cared about the truth. His downvote brigade and the hivemind of the subreddit ignored it. He said, yes it was all a fun little secret. Blatantly admitting he knew the truth and the subreddit.

He began his aggression by stating that the entire [continent] was under his control and we were all members of his [government.] He posted this to the subreddit [of my city] as well as others. He also posted changed all the CSS on the a subreddit to our now defunct [continental] alliance to a theme of himself. I saw him in [a nearby city] and I asked him to change it back, he refused, saying it

well known griefer] stating he tried to hire him as well. I decided the aggression was enough and Id pearl him, throw him in the end for a week and let him learn a lesson. He then accused me of all types of things on the subreddit, never once supplying any proof. I killed some cows after breaking into a barn the first night I arrived which

A Denunciation of Zombie_Lenins Legacy from the Communist Party of Proletarskaya

by Comrade Annex, ZaneTNT, and ComradeNick
To fully understand the character of whom we are denouncing, one must understand the history of this character. I say character, because this character is not the real man, of course; no man is a joke entirely. Zombie_Lenin, in his real life is a US Democrat as admitted on several occasions to comrades on 1.0. Beyond that, we do not know much about the man, only his character. On 1.0, beginning with Leningrad, he began his roleplaying and one particular feature on that iteration was the Free Trade Zone, the primary evidence of capitalist opportunism (the same opportunism that he wrote about!). The next vilifying point is his collusion with Hardcore Factions (HCF) to undermine the Peoples Revolution that seeked to end his power. In his cities, still present today, is the creation of an Intelligentsia class. Unnecessary social stratification of this variety was quite evident in his cities. In Buenos Aires, his collusion with HCF was met by a revolution led by some of the current citizens of Quito who comprised the Intelligentsia. These people, disturbed by what they saw after learning that no socialist road was being taken at all, lost in a fight for power against a corrupt bureaucratic class of real-life capitalists. the We must now be able to understand bourgeois This character roleplaying, of his joking roleplaying. Beginning on 2.0, we saw some form of Gerbic/Bryn related drama in the subreddit news almost daily. Though many are fast to blame Gerbic, one should keep in mind that it is Zombie_Lenin who was antagonistic in every regard. No sympathy should be given to a man that goads a dog and then gets bitten. It is here especially where Zombie_Lenins in-game persona transcended into violence. Finally, with Lenins departure from the server (which will most likely be short lived and temporary), we see droves of liberals praising his legacy as a good and dear leader, one who is a socialist. However, there were some dissenters in all of this who praised his departure and these were usually the people who were the pit of his jokes, either actual leftists or the victims of his imperialism. Socialists are divided due to ideological differences, but they are minimized because the target audience for leftism is very specific. To get socialists on the server, one needs to find people who think Minecraft is relevant and want to play a specific political simulation server, and then once on that server, want to join a socialist nation. There is no shortage of US Democrats and Republicans from /r/ politics to fill the server with. There is a much smaller number of leftists from which to do the same. What this does There are two problems with this. First, that Zombie_Lenin is not anticapitalist, leftist, socialist, egalitarian or communist, hes merely roleplaying, and badly at that. Secondly, and more importantly, it undermines the existing socialist nations by creating a divisive joke about socialism. Sure we can all take jokes, but what does this roleplaying equate to when we have nations actually attempting socialism on the server? It creates unnecessary divides between an already divided and minimized group. unknowing folks on the server might be inclined to think that Zombie_Lenin is being serious or in the very least some form of anti-capitalist. Whenever someone has denounced Zombie_Lenin in the past, they have been met with the response, why cant leftists ever take a joke?, well, leftists can take jokes, we joke with each other all the time. What Zombie_Lenin does is not a joke, he is actually harming people on the server. He is hiring griefers on a whim, supporting and taking imperialist actions, and then using the excuse it was just a joke, lol to justify his actions. So when we denounce Zombie_Lenin, it is not because his jokes have offended us, many of us find them quite funny. It is the fact that his actions have offended us, because they have harmed people, and because they have upheld institutions that are immoral. is that it preys on the uneducated to the point that Zombie-Leninism is equated to actual Leninism or some form of leftism.

or satirical, has been entirely based off mischaracterizations of various leaders and nations resisting imperialism in the real world. All the while, he was importing his disgusting brand of imperialism abroad in game. What this inadvertently does is reinforce bourgeois superstructure. More
