AIM
I have focused my interest on graphic design related to environmental issues, with graphical language playing the lead role. I have found a wide variety of styles and focuses, and have seen that there is great concern among graphic designers for the environment, since many of the initiatives were conceived by the designers themselves. At the same time, this selection of designs reveals the efforts made by associations and public bodies to promote a change of mentality.

Since our lives are bound to not only environments but other resources such as time, money, culture, personal relationships and so on, it is important to see and read a green design as a phenomenon that influence one`s entire life. For instance, creating energy efficient product is a concern which everyone has. But we, designer, should take an another step thinking how it would influence the human behaviorology. Sustainable development is to integrate environmental, social and economic factors. Development is that will meet the needs of the present, without compromising the necessary resources for the next generation to live.

Social Responsibility Sustainable Design Recycle Recycling is a process to change materials (waste) into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for conventional waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle waste hierarchy. 4ways of designing for green works. When we designed approaches to design for sustainability. Designing products that provide a framework for reducing the environmental impacts through design. Assist in the development of more innovative design solutions. Secondly, design for longevity. Select materials and design styles that will promote and communicate durability and longer use of the product to the consumer. Other way, design for recyclability. Use mono materials in order to increase the ability for it to be recycled at the end of life. Clearly mark the fact that your product has end of life options. Finally, design for multi-functionality. Designs that have a variety of uses for the consumer will increase their value perception for the product and reduce the need for them to upgrade or even have another item that fulfills that need.
