Full-time & part-time


Full-time study on this program:
`` consists of core units for 3 hours per day (Monday to Friday) `` elective classes for 90 minutes everyday (60 minutes in evening classes) `` is open for students 17 years old and over `` can start on any Monday `` is a great preparation to enter other courses here

By studying General English you will:


`` improve your speaking, listening and conversation skills `` read faster and improve your writing in a wide range of everyday contexts `` expand your vocabulary `` improve your pronunciation `` become more confident in using your English in different situations `` use correct grammar to make communication easier `` study with students from all round the world

Levels and progress:


It is crucial that you are in the right level class. We test all students on their first day to place them in the correct class. In addition regular progress testing and your class work and homework are used by our teachers to check your progress and allow you to move to the next level when you are ready to do so. We offer the following main levels in our General English program and these are divided to make more sub-levels within each main level: `` Lower Elementary `` Elementary `` Upper Elementary `` Lower Intermediate `` Intermediate `` Upper Intermediate `` Advanced

Entry requirements
Students must be able to read and write the English alphabet and have a basic conversation e.g. introduce yourself and say where you are from. All students sit a level test on their first day.

Course duration
You can study General English for as many weeks as you like.

These are the main start dates, however you can start on any Monday. 31 December 2012 29 January* 25 February 25 March 22 April 20 May 17 June 15 July 12 August 9 September 8 October* 4 November 2 December 30 December * Tuesday start date because Monday is a holiday.
