Guidelines:

Duration 5 hours 1x Part Model, 1x Drawing, 1x Assembly- 3 Hrs 1x Part Model with Boolean operation- 2 Hrs Sketcher Simple and easy sketches, single sketch per operation No fillets, chamfers, drafts and holes in sketch No mirror in sketch (only in 3D model) All sketch should be constrained (i.e., green and yellow) including construction element (end points not mandatory for construction elements) Reference line, plane, sketch, etc (those are not linked to individual operation) should be added to geometrical set (linked parallel to part body) Boolean Operation Part Tree Only 1 partbody is allowed, start the model with body2 (insert body to partbody). Each body should be as given in drawing (holes, drafts, fillets, etc shown in individual body should be performed in the body) All respective bodies should be assembled to partbody (Add, remove and intersect are not allowed). Take care of negative solid in each body. After assembly, other remaining operations should be under partbody Part Design Drafts before fillets Large fillets before small & vertical fillet before horizontal fillet Drafts, filets, chamfer, etc., as early as possible in the product tree Same fillet radii as a single fillet Avoid complex product structure, maintain tree simple and small Position the axis of each part considering assembly Sequence of operation (complete all operations from one end after creating the basic structure)

Assembly Activate Part Design mode Flexible/Rigid sub assemblies and Assembly features like reuse pattern are not allowed Option keep link with selected Objects must be deactivated (Default setting) Fix first component and remaining arrest all degrees of freedom (other than given by examiner) Finish Partname should be similar to the filename Delete unused elements All sketches and geometrical set must be in HIDDEN (constraints in assembly) In Boolean operation, each body should be coloured (Red & Orange Not allowed in V5) Save the model with Fit all in & Isometric view

Drafting

Use Airbus ISO Standard sheet, select proper sheet size if not specified Title Block must be in Background (create only if necessary) Only one sheet per model Avoid manual Points, Lines etc., Avoid broken links between Drawing und CATPart NO Fake Dimensions and all dimensions in mm Save Delete unused sheets and views, if any No active views allowed but sheet must be active (define sheet as active) Drawing must be updated if the model is saved after creating drawings Dimension should be black (Green colors for threads are allowed) Lock all views (remove view frame and deselect pick able elements before locking) Fit in all and save
