Lesson Objective

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. Read and understand phrases, sentences, paragraphs and whole texts. 2. Write at word, phrase, sentence and paragraph level in clear, legible print and cursive writing 3. Listen to and repeat accurately the correct pronunciations of words and the correct intonation and stress in phrases, expressions and sentences.

Passage How to make a bowl of Potato Salad To make this salad for the whole family, you need potatoes, six-hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, onions, broccoli, celery, a pinch of salt and dash of pepper. First, peel and boil enough potatoes to fill your salad bowl. Rinse the cooked potatoes under cold water and let them cool. When cooled, cut them into even-sized pieces and then, put them back into the pot. Next, peel and cut four of the hard-boiled eggs and put them into the pot. Then, chop the vegetables and add them into the pot a little at a time and stir the mixture until they are evenly mixed. After that, add sufficient mayonnaise, salt, and pepper a little at a time into the salad. When salad is well-mixed, transfer it into a salad bowl. Finally, slice the remaining two eggs into even pieces and placed them on top of the salad. Now, you are ready to eat it. This dish is nutritious and healthy as it contains all the nutrients of a balanced diet. You can eat it as a wholesome meal at any time of the day.
