HONDURAS

All 29 El Camino students were lined up at the front of the classroom. They were sweetly singing to their mothers at a special gathering for Mothers Day in Honduras. As I looked ahead I saw the beaming faces of 29 precious children that God has allowed me to teach day in and day out at the Christian bilingual elementary school which is now in its second year of existence. Every day I pray that these little ones will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I have faith that God can do this great thing.



As I looked behind me I saw over 30 mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and friends who are also being taught, in essence, through everything their children bring home. What a great privilege and responsibility to train up the next generation in Honduras. I may never see the fruit of this labor. But, day by day, as I pour my life into these little ones and their parents I am reminded of the Scripture in Psalm 27: 13-14, I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord! I have faith like David that God will be faithful to strengthen me here, and God will use my efforts to accomplish His good purposes.
My home church, Calvary Bible, has graciously allowed me to extend my short term missions status as long as possible and that time is up. Please note this change: I will now be receiving support through a new sending agency, CornerStone International (see address below), for the remainder of my time in Honduras.
