ODBC 8etup for 8UPERLNK v1.66 {MDLite and MD-8KLite}
NO1L:
Depending on the ersion o ODBC you use, the screens may be slightly dierent but the
procedures are the same.
1o set up the ODBC or SUPLRLINK 1.66, perorm the ollowing steps:
1. On the Desktop, go to Start`Settings and click Control Panel.
2. In the Covtrot Pavet directory, double click administrative 1ools, double-click Data Sources
(ODBC).
In the ODC Data ovrce .avivi.trator screen, select the ,.tev D^ tab.

1. Run ODBC Data Source Administrator rom the Control Panel.

2. Select System DSN tab. Click on the Add button. 1his action displays the Create New Data
Source dialog box.


3. Click on the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) option to highlight it. Click on the Iinish button.
1his action displays the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup dialog box.

4. Lnter SLMerchandise_Jet or the Data Source Name ield. Lnter any description you like or the
new data source name. Click on the Select button to locate the database ile named
SLMerchJd.MDB. 1his ile should reside in the same directory o the installed SuperLink
program. Under the System Database options, select Database option. 1his action enables the
System Database button. Click on it to locate the LNGINLLR.MDW ile. 1his ile should
reside in the System directory o \indows ,e.g. C:`\indows`System or C:`\inN1`System32,.
5. On the same dialog box, click on the Advanced. button. 1his action displays the Set Advanced
Options dialog box.


6. Lnter Admin or the login name ield. lor password ield, enter Software. Click on the OK
button to accept changes. Click OK on the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup dialog box to sae the
newly added data source name. Click OK again on the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog
box to sae all changes.

1he ODBC setup or SUPLRLINK 1.66 is now complete.
