Her last menstruation period (LMP) was on June 26, 2013 and ended 28th on the same month, with 9 weeks & 6 days AOG. She has one prenatal check-up in the same hospital.

>In my eight months in Brgy. Salud, I encountered 49 years old, female client suffering from on/off cough and colds with blood in the sputum for more than three months. She noticed weight loss, loss of appetite, and fever at night. Her vital signs are within normal such as follows; blood pressure: 110/80mmHg, pulse rate: 89bpm, respiratory rate: 19bpm and temperature of 36.2 degree Celsius last 5th of August 2013. She had undergone Direct Smear Sputum Microscopy as ordered by Dr. Felix C. Briones, MHO on the same day at Rural Health Unit and diagnose Category 1 Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB). Health teaching imparted to her as follows: Explained the importance of hand washing technique Advised to cover her mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing to prevent transmission of infection Instructed to segregate nasal and oral discharges and burn it to the fire Encouraged to drink plenty of water at least 8- 10 glasses a day Instructed to eat nutritious foods high in Vitamin C to boost immune system Emphasized the value of adequate rest at least 8 hours a day and 30 minutes went from the farm Explained to her husband and children to undergo TB screening or check-up at RHU Encouraged to avoid smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages to the husband On 12th on the same month, she started to take anti- tuberculosis medicines under category 1 as prescribed by MHO. And her son went also for check-up. Advised for follow-up and take medicines. On the past 6 months, We conducted Mothers Class at Brgy. Hall regarding TB in children/adults, transmission, prevention, and treatment as discussed by Co-RNHeals Nigel Marin.
