(8) (ii) Derive the EMF equation of the transformer and voltage transformation ratio. (8) (OR) (b) (i) A 2000/200V transformer has primary resistance and reactance of 2ohm and 4ohm. Secondary has 0.025 and 0.04ohm. find (i)equivalent R and X of primary referred to secondary (ii) secondary referred to primary (iii) total R and X referred to primary (iv) referred to secondary. (10) (ii) explain the load test performed on transformer. (6)

2. (a) (i) Derive the Equivalent circuit of Transformer.

(ii) Draw the phasor diagram for lagging, leading power factor with % regulation expression. (4) (OR) (b) (i)A 20 KVA, 2200V/220V, 50HZ single phase transformer have the following results. O.C Test: 220V, 4.2A, 148W on LV side. S.C Test: 86V, 10.5A, 360W on HV side. Calculate: (i) regulation and efficiency at 0.8 P.F lagging at full load and (ii) P.F on short circuit. And obtain the approximate equivalent circuit referred to HV side. (12) (ii) A single phase transformer is rated at 100 KVA, 2.2kV/220V, 50Hz. Has iron loss of 900W and full load copper loss of 1000W. Determine efficiency at full load 0.8 pf (4)
